can’t see it but assuming people stay fit Cook Salter Fox Kakay and Field who can slot in is plenty. Can only play two unless change in formation so if they did let go to generate money I could get my head around it.

It will be a good test for Cook and Salter against Danny Ward who’s a physical type Striker and Belik who scored 8 goals playing CB
Don’t think anyone’s better than Dunne for the Hugill type striker that can bully some CB’s

I do like Duke-McKenna, but he's not quiet there yet, so this is probably the right move for him, but with Dozzell going previously, we are leaving ourselves a bit thin on the ground, unless Tim is on his way in, and their are other irons in the fire.

He’s 23 now if he’s not ready he’s never going to be.

No signings so far not good news is it
We need Tim on loan
And a striker to stay up this year
Our squad has no depth to it

Lost more depth (not necessarily strength in depth) with Duke-McKenna going. One or two injuries and we're fucked again.

if it’s decent offer then I would be tempted to accept. Wonder if we would look at exchange as were we not linked with a winger from then few weeks back.

I see this in the same way as Dieng and Dickie transfer, since leaving both players have shown to be good Championship players. I don’t agree that Fox is a good replacement in the same way as Begovic was not a good replacement for Dieng despite some vocal fans wanting him gone. The progressive way forward for most football clubs is players leave because they are generally replaced by better ones or an offer is too good to turn down, in our case it’s normally down to poor judgement and management.

I think Dieng superior keeper to Asmir so agree.

I think we could be stuffed centre back wise if we got injuries. Don’t think this is a sensible one for us.

If Marti will be here next season even if will be relegated and he is ok with selling Dunne I would say go ahead.

For me Tim is the important one. We have precious few MF capable of taking men out and spotting the pass. He does that.
Clearly there are a few shortcomings - if there weren't he'd be further up the AV pecking order - but if the money gets sorted he has to be in the frame.

I’ve been looking at AV forums and according to them selling Dondonker to Napoli means that Villa manager has recently said Tim is a big part of Villa’s future.

In an ideal world you would be right but, like the Doomsday clock, we are five minutes to midnight staring down the barrel at relegation, and if this is the difference between us getting a striker or not its a risk we have to take.
