need to up it a bit more for this game but i think the previous 2 games will have done a world of good for the squad.
i've said many times but the 4-2 win against stoke belies the actual performance as we wouldn't have turned them over had the ref not been so shocking.
preston was imo a much more improved result, 1st half was boring as fuck but we were still solid at the back and battled hard. 2nd half was much improved, and what i LOVED compared to our previous goals under gaz or even under the eel last season is that they were easy goals to score and well worked.
we've relied on moments of brilliance or scrappy goals for far too long imo so its refreshing to see genuine attacking threat.
its great to see different elements in our arsenal too, for 2 games in a row EDB has had long distance shots well saved by the keeper and its only a matter of time till one of them goes in.
hull will be a very tough game, they're much improved under liam rosenior and are a very difficult team for anyone. i think rosenior will do well and will end up in the prem one day.
i'd take a draw if offered it right now but i think we could even pip them and win it 2-1.

Early days for Marti to be changing how we set up but it’s not difficult to see that playing at home is very different to playing away with the onus generally being on the home side to be dominant in attack.

Because of the way the division is panning out this year, and because of the horrendous GA spell (which was allowed to continue for a while after the board had lost confidence in him) these are the games we have to seize by the throat and win.
No one just above us is loosing consistently. Anyone can get points off anyone. In a scenario like that, if you'er detached at Christmas you really are looking down the barrel.
