Anyone got any nerdy facts about 3rd round knock outs? we've been eliminated in the 3rd round more times than anyone else in history. i think we're at 51 3rd round exits now. a truly impressive stat, plymouth are second with something like 49 exits. wrexham famously knocked out arsenal in the 3rd round in 1992. arsenal were champions of england while wrexham were floundering in the 4th division. the only other huge upset i can think of is 5th/6th tier hereford beating newcastle in the 3rd round back in the 70s. some other FA cup stats though, there's only ever been 3 hat tricks in the FA cup the most recent of which was in the 50s. before that you have to go back all the way to the 1890s for hat tricks, 2 games alan remembers well as he had attended the games with his grandchildren. the only non english team to win the FA cup was cardiff back in the 1920s. a scottish teams have competed in the FA cup though, notably gretna, queens park and third lanark. |

Although Peddar tends to try hard he is like most of our youngsters Shania, too lightweight with just average skills trying to become a footballer. He’s got weaker body strength than ex Spurs kid Tom Carroll who played for us under Warburton. |
