This. Dykes produced nothing today so what’s to lose? Marti's pretty rigid with his 4-3-3 though. Never plays two up front. hence why I’m asking who drops think it has too be muscles unless there is change in formation.

At kick off today, we’d got rid of 2 players from Our squad on January and they’d signed 4 players. It’s very difficult for Marti to compete. He’s doing best he can.

I imagine it's rare. That's a question to anyone. I agree with you maybe he needs to tweak the formation but there's been absolutely no sign of it so far

Good managers adapt and try and find a way to win.
Obviously he has his hands tied in many ways but, he needs to think outside the box right now as we are not getting the points we need to pull away.

Tbf I'd argue that Dykes just off Armstrong is outside the box (same place Dykes always is anyway!). 1 up top isn't a problem if the players behind support. 2 up top doesn't mean goals. Dykes, Armstrong, Willock Chair plus wingbacks mean it's pretty attacking, on paper anyway.

He just doesn’t turn up for games ever. Personally, I would bomb him from my squad, but I’m not the manager.

Anyone know the story behind why Antwerp wanted to offload him? Ah, just caught up with Loftus' post earlier in the thread: Ooooooh, interesting. I have a Belgian friend who is a massive Antwerp fan (he translates the Royal Antwerp web site content for English fans). Will interrogate him... Feedback in… Large unit, scores goals. Not a team player, which is why he’s been frozen out by Antwerp, who have been trying to offload him all season. Hard working, intimidating, but clumsy/cumbersome at times. Belgian news saying he’s on his way.

Does anyone know if his transfer is subject to a work permit or that already sorted? No mention of that on the offish but have seen a few fans saying its not 100% confirmed? its based on points gained last season. he played 15 bundesliga games last season so more than meets the threshold for a WP. i think he'd have had to play in something like 8 bundesliga games to meet to criteria.

Thanks Corbs. Not trying to be a pedant but I read some posts on another site that suggested its the club he signed from is the one that counts, not where he happened to play for part of last season on loan? We signed him from a Belgium club and Belgium does not count as one of the top leagues? Obvs hope this is all bollox but just asking the Q.
