Just want him to be a big ugly nuisance up front. A goal or two will help too

Am I reading too much into this but why have they put First signing?? Is that a hint to other ones incoming? Two days still until deadline.

Frey is one of the hopefuls. He is supposed to enliven the harmless offensive. Not with technical masterpieces, which were never one of his advantages, but with power, commitment, fighting spirit, will, qualities that are particularly valued in Schalke's north curve. During his introduction, Frey made it clear: “I am someone who goes for everything that moves.”
I Like that!

TBH just someone who gets in the box on time would be a massive step up. Helguson was brilliant at that. Wasn't prolific but just getting in amongst it created so many scoring opportunities for the team.

First impression… a very odd looking player. Doesn’t cover the ground very quickly, runs like he’s scared his pants are going to fall down😁

Doesn’t cover the ground very quickly, runs like he’s scared his pants are going to fall down😁 he's fucking slow thats for sure lol. he has great movement in the box though from what i saw watching at home. match fitness is a glaring issue but he had a few nice touches and looks like he can lead the line and free up space. i think he'll be a good player for us but we need him to come up to speed sooner rather than later.

He didn't look anywhere near match-fit on Saturday Jimmy. Reckon he needs another couple of weeks. With Hayden and Hodge in midfield we're a different team, and I'm not quite so concerned about the attack now, because I think Armstrong is starting to be utilised in the right way, which is causing chaos and opening up defences, that allows for others to score - Chair, Hodge, Willock (with the usual caveats) and, who knows, even Dykes!

Goal on your home debut at loft end that’s quite an intro
There was a header he head where he attacked the post and got in front of his man and it went just wide. Can’t recall when we last saw that movement in the box from a striker.
Think he will be a handful if we improve quality into the box not just with his head but feet too as he had to sort his feet out quickly for the goal and for a big man he did it.
Put his head on few crosses too defensively.

His footwork is so poor that wouldn't like to see him messing around outside the box, where he belongs and is a dangerous player.

Put his head on few crosses too defensively. I said to Billy, if that was Dykes he'd have been at the back post behind 3 defenders. He looks a presence and can't wait to see him fully fit which we need sooner rather than later.

11 mins is all he needed.
Dykes must be looking on and cringing to himself.

Both Dykes and Armstrong can learn from him.

Too early to start him at Stoke?
I'm undecided tbh.
