Quite an impressive CV and goal ratio over his career.
He's ugly as well like Bobby Zamora which I like in a striker - more likely to put his head where it hurts.

Other than this season, his record is pretty impressive.
Must be pretty decent for Schalke to sign in the first place.
No idea what type of striker he is, other than one that seems to know how to score.
Good to see us being linked with players abroad. Better than seeing Martin, Wells etc.

Don’t like his highlight reels where he appears to lack movement but I would have to respect the previous clubs he’s played for and still scored goals.
If I could choose between an experienced 29 striker or a 20yr Premiership rookie in our current position i think Frey could be a better fit.

The article above describes Frey as being part of FC Antwerp’s B team, it could be said any rookie Premiership loan would probably be similar. |

his highlights look promising imo. nothing impressive like mazey dribbles or anything but he's physical and loves to hang around in the box which is something we've sorely lacked.

According to Belgian media, seems we’re taking Frey on loan for the rest of the season, paying his full salary - which is apparently expensive in Belgian terms. So much so that his pay demands are too much for a Belgian club who made enquiries, but couldn’t afford his wages.
This is slightly at odds with reports that QPR are talking to him negotiating personal terms - which sounds more like a release and a full time contract.
Anyway, I guess we’ll find out one way or another in the next 5 days or so...
