Aalborg was relegated last season from Danish top league and Andersen didn't even get playing time in that poor team. Sounds odd signing this. He played a total of 1743 minutes over 31 games in the 22/23 season. Not sure if that's good or bad though 🤷♂️ How much has he played since this season started in July (second highest level in Denmark)?

I have to say I’m really impressed with the club this window. Bit more depth. Great stuff

At least we are showing a desire to get ourselves out of this predicament. Great (and very unexpected) window

Can’t see how long he’s signed for have I missed it? Same with Frey. I imagine they have a guaranteed extension if we stay up and if the worst happens we aren’t tied into anything financially. Think if we survive you’ll see more info on contracts but I’d like to think it’s structured in that way

According to some people, we weren't going to be able to sign anyone, and certainly no one from Scandinavia. This window has blown that out of the water. A great window, given the almost zero expectations we had.

He's been talking to Mikkel Beck who gave his positive reviews of the club apaprently haha some interesting words from the enw CEO in the official announcement:
"He performed above the median as a line-breaking 10 specifically for our possession-based 4-3-3 conceptual shape in data screening and was crucially, given our situation managing profitability and sustainability regulations, available on a free transfer owing to his former club’s relegation.
“The fact he has worked with Martí before – and given the fact there are just three months remaining of the season and the context that we are in – is a hugely significant bonus.
“Everyone at the club will support them in their quest to create more special moments together.”
R’s gaffer Cifuentes said: “I am very happy we have been able to bring Lucas in.
“He is a very nice addition to the squad, very professional and will add quality on and off the pitch.”
Cifuentes confirmed the versatility of Andersen is also a huge advantage, explaining: “He has played in different positions in his career, either as a winger or a No.10, but definitely one of the things we like from him is that he can play in different positions.
“He is an offensive, attacking player that will be helpful for our strikers and our other attacking players. He is also very good at set-pieces.
“He has international experience and I am happy that he can join us in this situation. He will add skills that we are looking for and I am sure he will prove that he is a quality player.”

I heard there were a number of clubs after him. What swayed it was the influence of our strong Danish contingent led by 1qprdk

Great news.
As a side note interesting how technical the ceo is on this. Can’t really imagine Lee Hoos having such a conversation with Gareth Ainsworth…

Sounds like we’re doing a lot of things right at last. Relegation would be a tragedy.

Be interesting to see if Marti selects Anderson in a flexible front 3 alongside Willock and Chair

Sounds like we’re doing a lot of things right at last. Relegation would be a tragedy. We just have to make it. Just once ffs. Would be so typical QPR, that we finally get some clued up people running the show, but it all falls apart because of past sins. Please not this time 🙏

So said our new CEO Christian Nourry. So, what was the most important aspect of all of the above old flannel...? 'Free'

So a few months ago the Management said we dont need any Strikers and now two join the club in less than 7 days. Woken up. i think its more a case of nourry keeping his cards close to his chest as he also said we wouldn't be making any signings yet we ended up making 4 late into the window. i don't expect the board to ever be an open book with the fans and it would be stupid if they were. anything they say publically will be picked up by every club in the country so its best for them to play the media as much as possible. football is a results based business at the end of the day and the board can lie to us at every opportunity if they want as long as they deliver what they know we want lol.

Play him Saturday instead of willock
We don't even know if he's match fit. I suspect its going to take him a while to adjust.
CW gets a bit of stick on here but he looks to me to be able to spot a pass and create space, I suspect his stats are respectable enough.
Someone the other day was saying Chair should be bench, I must be watching a different team. Neither are consistent but both are important.
Finally as Stains said good to see a coherent footballing statement from someone at the club, even if free was the key word.

willock gets stick because we know how good he is. he's not a one season wonder as we've seen him pull off the sublime this season. my worry with him is he's not all in with QPR. he's playing carefully so he can prove that he's injury free so he can get his move in the summer. he knows he has the stats and highlights to back up his ability but his injury issues would concern any club. heck, look at luke amos as a prime example, we all know how talented he was and he has the ability to be a top half championship player. he gave his all on the pitch but it cost him and took until december for him to finally find a club. willock is a great player but in our position we need players who will go the extra mile to get us out of this mess. thats one of the reasons why many fans favour smyth over willock, willock is clearly better but smyth will try his damndest to make something happen on the pitch.
