they've not won in 9 games, are guaranteed and resigned to relegation, have no standout players except their keeper and a squad low on confidence. we on the other hand have 1 loss in our last 6, some of the most technically gifted players in the league, are brimming with confidence and have options off the bench should plan A not work out. 2-1 to rotherham  |

in all seriousness i can genuinely see this being a big win for us. 3 or 4 nil, no disrespect to rotherham but we're due a decisive win.
our squad is in a good place now with competition and options for places, amazing what 4 signings can do. the start of the season saw us have a half decent starting 11 but absolutely no options in the squad or plan B's. everywhere you look though there is a different style and competition. need some pace? smyth and armstrong are your guys. a bully? frey is there. dynamism in midfield? EDB and hodge have it covered. feeling sorry for the opposition and want to give them a breather? play dykes.
loving this new look and feel about the team. i wonder what marti could have done had he had this team at the start of the season with a preseason under his belt. we certainly wouldn't be in a relegation battle (as exciting as that bizzarly is), we'd be pushing for the top 10 imo.
there's still some GLARING issues with the side like lack of bottle when we go behind and set pieces but there are far more positives than negatives. he has some tactical nounce to him, how many of us including me were frustrated at dunne in RB? yet it paid off and completely nulified bristol's attack down the left, its not uncommon in the modern game to play CBs as fullbacks with man city being the main team to employ it to great effect.
enjoy marti while we can as he won't be here forever imo.
going for a comfortable 3-0 win "should have been 5 but for their keeper" either way. if we stay up we need to bring rotherham's keeper in to replace begovic.

This has always been the game I feared most as it would be typical rangers to get smashed by these twats. It’s also my birthday on Saturday so the least this lunatic club can do is give me/ us 3pts and get us out of this bloody relegation zone. No pressure.... Just feels a little early to put the match up now....
I remember Paul Smyth saying to BBC sport that we won't be in the relegation zone for long when we had Marti's new manager bounce....
We're still there and it's nearly March!
Woah.... every game is a cup final between now and May as even Wednesday have had a good run and are just behind us...

Marti's done OK since he came in - just seem like those around us have put in some decent performances too, esp Wednesday, Huddersfield and Brum (since Mowbray). Luckily some of those who were mid-table are having a bit of a wobble. |

Giddy off the back of Saturday's win I am going against all my instincts from previous experiences & going with a comfortable QPR win. I know this is the exact type of game we historically fuck up (I am sure we always lose to Rotherham too?!) - but I think we finally seize the opportunity to put things in our own hands (well results elsewhere dependant I guess) this Saturday. The place will be buzzing & I think the players will react, especially with the new boys properly settled in now. Really looking forward to it.

Honestly can't remember when we last tonked anyone (am not predicting it this Sat to be clear). Maybe Cardiff a couple of years ago, but even that was "only" 3-0ish? As a kid I remember watching us win a match normally once a season scoring about 5 goals (maybe my mind is playing tricks, but I seem to remember for eg a night game at home to Stoke and winning about 6-1). Loads of similar memories, but strangely none in recent years...
