OK will try to do better than Alan’s apology of a match thread the other week which rightly got him a sound telling off.
I see this 1-1 or 2-2.
Yes we are on a great run with 1 defeat in 8 but they are up there for a reason.
Plus we seem to do better away.
Can we let another team come onto us at home and hit them on the break like we do successfully away? We struggle when we try to take it to teams IMHO.
Thanks to good game management by Marti, Frey will be completely fresh while Willock, Andersen and Dykes should be relatively so. Also has Hodge and Fox to call on if he thinks anyone needs a rest but ideally I would go with the same starting 11 but Frey for Dykes.
With two of our relegation rivals facing really tough matches on Tuesday, a draw here could be enough to lift us.
Think we have easier (on paper…) games coming up against Boro and Sunderland. It’s these kind of mid-table sides that have checked out it seems and could actually prove easier than the Sheffield W and Brum games.
Be great to extend our run to 9 games with just one defeat.
Of course a 4th win on the bounce would be amazing but don’t want to provoke the footballing gods like Leicester fans did with their pre-match arrogance against us.
Can somebody more technically proficient add a poll? Christ maybe this is no better than Alan’s effort after all.
URRRRRRRRs!

Gone draw again for this one as my draw at Leicester shout was amazingly wrong so must stick to the routine.

Gone draw too and that’s what I went Saturday.
Actually think this game could be harder as it’s at home and again the expectation has risen. Also think WBA are more direct side when they get on ball and attack with pace they also try and put it in box so Dunne might have a harder time.
Leicester whilst attacking got to line and then played back a lot which gave us time get back in position not sure we will get that opportunity Wednesday night.
Think we might see return of Frey.

Sheff Wednesday, Millwall, Blackburn, Plymouth, Stoke and Birmingham all play on Tuesday so we will have the advantage of knowing their outcomes and how the table will look if we win or draw.
Not sure if that’s a motivation or added pressure.

I think this is going to be a really tough game for us. I'd be resonably happy with a draw from this one as WBA are a bit of a bogey team for us. Obviously, I'd be very, very happy with a win! Main thing is to keep the momentum going. But for some reason I feel those baggie cants are going to stitch us up.

I'd go:
Begovic
Dunne Cook JCS Paal
Hayden BGB*
Anderson Willock Chair
Frey
*If Colback is still suspended

Like the look of that, and still options off the bench.

Main thing is to keep the momentum going. But for some reason I feel those baggie cants are going to stitch us up. Agree with you. Remember being played off the park by them at home a few years ago, think we lost 2-0 but they looked in a different league to us. But we have had some successes. That late Charlie Austin winner a couple of seasons ago against them one of my best moments at Loftus Rd in recent times. Also seem to remember a screamer of an Eze equaliser in (possibly?) a 2-2 draw up at their place. This likely to be tough. Normally a team fighting relegation would consider a point at home to a top 5 club a decent result, and as you suggest, as individual results go it still would be. Problem is most of the other buggers also winning. Frightening to think if we hadn't have pulled off a highly improbable victory away to the league leaders we would be back in the drop zone.

The home game last season was a big wake-up call that we were in a bit of a false position. It’s going to be a tough, gritty game……and at home, we’re not so good at them!

Take a draw now tbh.
Dont need a heavy defeat goal difference could be crucial end of season.
Keep it tight,no blunders,no loss of concentration and see where it takes us.
They are'nt world beaters but are a decent team.

If we lose I will still be happy with 3 points from these last 2 games. Leicester was not part of my 5 points prediction for March!

A draw might look momentarily disappointing but in the context of the month, a good result. Boro, Sunderland and Brum all falling off form-wise so plenty of opportunities for points and potentially a good time to play them

bizarrely felt more confident about Leicester then this game Same. I think that’s because psychologically we probably wrote off anything apart from a loss as a bonus. Home games add a little bit more pressure. I do think this will be a very difficult game but, our tails are up and we shouldn’t fear anyone right now as we are really playing to a decent standard.
