Would be a massive psychological and confidence boost to see themselves move up the table significantly after all the work Marti has done. Improving so much but not getting out of the pack must worry them a bit.

Still can't see a win but this is a golden opportunity we have here. A draw would be good imo. Keeps us away from the bottom 3. Very tough game though. More nervous than buzzing. Hopefully the players saw the results last night and recognise the opportunity that has presented itself.

Really looking forward to what could be an emotional night. I am wondering if the Stan factor may boost the crowd and players on to victory. But I have gone for a draw which I think would be a decent result.

Improving so much but not getting out of the pack must worry them a bit. To be fair, when Marti ws appointed, there wasn't really a pack. Just a lot of teams way ahead of us. The fact there are teams like Boro, Bristol City, and Watford looking over their shoulders is a testement to what a job Marti's done. We were well adrift. It was mentioned that is was between Rotherham, us, Sheff Wed, of Huddersfield to go down. Now apart from Rotherham, there are 12 teams in the mix.

Four points from today and Saturday would be huge given the three unexpected from Leicester

What I meant was that as well as we are doing others have matched us. Millwall have stopped the rot and Wednesday are similar to us in that they have a popular foreign manager and have brought in a player who has made a difference. Will be a massive boost to leapfrog some of the teams who are dropping back.

thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=2&tab=tab-last10Actually only Sheffield Wednesday have matched us in recent results. After their win last night they are now ahead of us in the 6 game form table and, incredibly, are THIRD - five wins, one defeat in that table. Even if we win tonight our position in that form table won't change. We are still narrowly ahead of Wednesday by a point in the 10-game form table. However, all the teams immediately above us we had been gaining on. The problem has been we were simply so far adrift - even below Rotherham at one point - it has taken a very long time to catch up, particularly as they are still gaining a respectable number of points themselves in most cases. If current form continues (big "if") we and Sheffield Wed will start to pull away.

Hasn’t really looked like we were on the move up to now if others just looked at table but jumping a few might get some nerves creeping in around us.

I know it's 'only' 3 points, just like any other game - but this somehow feels like the most important match of the season so far.
Until the next one of course...

Every game feels like the most important because its the one in front of you. Objectively the bigger games are ones against our relegation rivals such as Brum and Sheffield Wed. Not sure you can quite call them "six pointers" because so many clubs now involved in the relegation fight, but probably "four pointers" at least.

We seem to be much less confident at home since there is a weight of expectation to win. Away, we play with more freedom since anything we get is a bonus.
Not expecting a lot from us tonight.

Hopefully wrong, but got a feeling that we are in for a lousy performance this evening. We have this habit of producing very fitting tributes to those who we have recently lost, only for the ensuing football to be dire. Was it Ray Jones for whom we played a video, introduced family as guests, warmed up in tops with 31 on them, only to get shat upon by a pretty mediocre opponent? On the other hand, the night may just get better and better!
