In my humble opining: GKBegovic DefendersKakay Drewe MidfieldersChair Hodge Richards Adomah Dozzell Duke-McKenna ForwardsDykes Smyth Armstrong (loan out) begovic will likely be off, he wants to stay but celtic are after him according to reports. i think he favours staying down south due to his goalkeeper academy that he has in london. doubt that richards is going anywhere sadly, what options does the guy actually have? he'll keep collecting a wage and go one of two ways - either become a good player in his last year and earn a move elsewhere or just keep being a ponce and drift off into the lower leagues. personally i'd keep smyth, his ability is league 1 level but i think too many judge him on that and his stats rather than what he brings to the team. pace, hardwork and the ability to win a free kick and corner which can be crucial for closing out a game. fields goal against leeds for example came as a result of smyth winning a free kick. i'm a big fan of armstrong and think he'll be a prem player within 2 years (so much so i have a personal wager to get an RFI tattoo if he isn't) but agree he needs a loan to develop his game. for one reason or another he's really dropped off this season and has become as anonymous as dykes is up top. a league 1 side with a reputation for developing players would be a great move for him imo. rest of them i agree with. would keep chair but we should accept if a good offer comes in for him.

In my humble opining: GKBegovic DefendersKakay Drewe MidfieldersChair Hodge Richards Adomah Dozzell Duke-McKenna ForwardsDykes Smyth Armstrong (loan out) Why do you want Smyth out? Just don't get that at all. Others have said it too. He's a tidy player to have, and a great impact sub.
Also very much doubt Dykes will be leaving. Marti seems to like him - either than or it's bloody brilliant man-management (possibly the latter is true).
Also why send Armstrong out on loan. Better to give him a pre-season with Marti, surely?
Chair may go for the right price, otherwise he's an obvious keeper.
The rest are no-brainers.
I think JCS might well go if offered the right price.

No one's mentioned Willock. He'll definitely be gone in the summer.

Why do you want Smyth out? Because he's not a top 10 championship player imo and I can see us challenging for a top 10 finish with Marti. Also very much doubt Dykes will be leaving. The list is who I WANT out, not who I think will leave. Also why send Armstrong out on loan. Because I think he needs it and it'll do him a lot of good. Should really have done it this season. The rest are no-brainers. Well at least we're agreed on that

Hayden is an interesting one and will divide opinion. He’s clearly a good player and just the type of person we want in the squad. But how much would his wages be? He’s has injury issues too. I’m undecided for those reasons.
New goalie and x2 strikers for certain. And a new full back who mainly plays right but can also play left back.
Chair and JCS - our best players, and our most valuable assets. Depends on the price but needs to be good! Willock - I think he’ll stay Dykes - need a goal in the Euros. Best for both he leaves I think

These are the ones I’d let go or sell.
Anyone you don’t agree with or would add?
Begovic Archer Kaykay Cannon Drewe Colback Richards Adomah Dykes Smith Armstrong Frey
Sounds a bit scary numbers wise looking at that list but for me this lot need to go.
Hodge wouldn’t try and sign. Hayden I would. Frey wouldn’t sign.

Hayden I would. Frey wouldn’t sign. Colback??? Definitely a keeper in my book. Bemused that you'd want him to go, Jimmy. He's got better and better as the season has progressed and is a talented Championship level midfielder.
Smyth is another one popular for the axe amongst the majority on here it seems, but I think he has a place in the squad. He's definitely made important contributions in several key games this season. Another keeper for me
I think Cannon stays as RB back-up.
Dykes will stay as Marti seems to rate him and who would want to buy him? Well, if someone does come in for him at a decent price, then yes, he'll go. But I've got a feeling he'll be in the squad next season.
Armstrong I'm not sure about. I think it depends who we can bring in to replace him.
Hayden I hope we'll try and sign, a very good player at this level.
The rest on your list can definitely go!

Would keep some players in following order:
1. Colback, it has been our strength to have three good defensive midfielders. 2. Smyth, his pace causes problems and opens up space 3. Begovic, as a back up keeper and mentor 4. Cannon, back up RB

Two strikers, Hayden, a central midfielder who can play a forward pass, and Marti and we'll easily be top six.

Colback for me is not dependable enough. He missed what 7-8 games through suspension?
Constantly booked for petulance and silly fouls.
Not what we need. Yes, he did play well in SOME games but as I said if that’s the standard of player and performance we’re looking for over a whole season I’d be disappointed. He has done an ok job for us but as I said, for me bit too slow and too emotional.

Big difference between who we want gone and who will go. And a lot of that comes down to money, chiefly whether Eze goes.
When we talk of "sell" or "let go" no one, for example, is going to buy Richards in a month of Sundays and letting go probably means buying up his entire contract.
Not as extreme a case but would be surprised if anyone came in for Dykes.
I expect with Frey we are committed for another season as prob only way we got him on low money for the run in. Worrying that he basically vanished with some injury.
A lot of peripheral players will go but unless the financial situation changes significantly then I expect the core of the first team to remain.

In my humble opining: GKBegovic DefendersKakay Drewe MidfieldersChair Hodge Richards Adomah Dozzell Duke-McKenna ForwardsDykes Smyth Armstrong (loan out) Would keep chair from that list(unless we get a fee of £8mil plus) Would keep Smyth (good squad player) Would let Willock leave. he had his purple patch under warburton but is no longer the same player after his injury. Everryone else on your list, i fully agree with.
