Are they available tonight? Doesn’t look like it based on wording at bottom on official. “ Both transfers are subject to receiving international clearance and ratification from the football governing bodies while Saito’s transfer is also subject to receiving a visa” How long does a bloody visa take!

over the moon with these signings, just wow. both are loans but from the wording it's apparent that dembele is an obligation to buy.
what an exciting front 4 we have though!

Might be the cynical QPR fan in me but I'm reserving judgment before I get excited about these two.

new LB if paal is going and a bit more depth and options tbh. a pacey striker wouldn't go amiss and maybe another option in midfield as i don't think colback is good enough to be heavily involved in the team.

Dont think Paal is going anywhere Marti rates him for some reason Does appear to but he gave him a massive bollocking Saturday. Lloyd too. First time I’ve seen him so narked on touchline.

Someone has to step up at LB sharpish Playmaker needs to step forward, that's been the real problem pre season and to date, precious little created. That's the key.

We've been linked with Adama sidibe . Striker from St Johnstone. Prolific at the end of last season to save St Johnstone from relegation. Has a 500,000 release clause

I remember a transfer window where we signed Rio, Fer, Mutch Caulker Vargas and a wingback whose name escapes me.... It didn't end well
I'm reading Clive W writing it will be a different side playing in September to the one turned out on Saturday as a bright side quote...
Until I see points on the board, I'm being a bit hesitant to shout whoopee doo yet

These 2 signings may not work out of course but….
Both young in their careers. So if we develop them properly we should be able to sell on later.
Dembele - pedigree, having started out at Celtic and then had a whole season in League 1, playing nearly 50 games in 1 season. Then got all 3 player awards at end of the season.
Saito - 50 games over last 2 seasons in Dutch top league for a side that is in mid table. And played at pretty much every Japan age group at national level. Clearly going to be very technical.
So, they may not work out but these are exactly the players we should be getting. If they don’t work out, I won’t blame the club as to me these 2 tick all the boxes for players that can take us to next level.

Saito just a loan Unless Nourry up to some trickery of course - club now into practicing the dark arts about contracts and revealing very little. Which I have no problem with as long as they do the right thing.

Hope we can bring in a centre mid that can actually put his foot on the ball & pick a pass,as our current lot have been woeful so far.

But I think also important is to have 2 ball players in the front 4. I read that Varane's stats suggested he was the closest player in world football to... Hayden. So Varrane is not going to be that Tony Currie/ Mike Fillery spraying the long passes unless he suddenly finds a new side to his game. We will have three potentially very good attacked midfield players. The big question is whether Field and Varane can take the ball on the turn, beat the press and get it to those attacking players. When they do, we will be away - but from what we have seen so far we are struggling to even play the ball out from defence.

I think both Chair and Smyth have received quite enough balls from our defenders. If Dembele is a better version of Smyth with an end product we'll be just fine.
