Very strange one - if true. How to demotivate one of your most passionate players who did really well in that position last season. But not jumping to any conclusions, might be bollocks, or might be a bigger transfer jigsaw puzzle behind the scenes than we are aware of.

Left back is more of an issue surely. Randomly I met this guys uncle in Dubai last year. He's a bloke called Sammy Johnston who's also an ex professional player. He's now working in tech, hence our paths crossed.

A few season ago I would have liked us to get Perry Ng from Cardiff in at right back, but that ship has sailed I suppose.

All over Twitter. Dykes to Birmingham for 1million. Medical today If true 1 million for an "International" striker is a give away and I expect some will moan that we should have held out for more. But if you read the threads on here and opinions of Dykes goal scoring ability we are lucky to get 1 million and every penny helps. Cannot understand why Brum though. They are trying to build a possession passing game similar to us for which Dykes does not fit the bill. Millwall on the other hand are the direct long ball up the centre style where Dykes would fit better. Next question is do we need to sign another goal scoring forward - if so who?

I've bee scraping the ITK barrels and not much about us Take with a pinch of salt but the only 4 I have seen are : Neal Maupay Striker from Everton on a season long loan but half the championship all want him Eze has signed for Spurs this afternoon LOL but if we had the money tomorrow it would be useful. Harrison Ashby Right Back from Newcastle on a season loan but others interested. Max Johnston Right Back from Sturm Graz (the one in the photos in this thread).
All quiet on out goings which is probably more worrying that we will lose JCS at the last minute and we probably need to get a couple at least out on loan for experience.
Not long to go now ...tick...tick..tick

Apparently, and I didn’t know this, but Spanish managers have a habit of stacking defenders for flexibility. If cannon has indeed gone or is going it makes sense. At the end of the day however well jimmy has done he isn’t a right back. I’d imagine this lad would come in as first choice with santos being used in a wing back system or further forward. Think we are light up top(again) but if you’re only playing one forward do you need three? Last season it was dykes and Armstrong and we’re better off there now in my opinion as in a focal point who can hold the ball up and bring others into it. I’d like a different striker as in someone with pace who can get in behind but maybe they are looking at Lloyd as able to do a job there off the bench? It is his preferred position after all. See how the day goes but as long as we hold onto jcs and chair I’d be very happy with the window we’ve had. Bit of depth all over and a massive improvement on last season

Not helpful playing a game the day and time window closes I thought that but in reality names would have been submitted to Nourry ages ago by MC and left with others to either make it happen or not. MC doesn't need to get involved really although some agents / players may seek to speak to the manager but who knows we may have already done that with permission from clubs.

This is the first signing I don't understand. As some have said, could mean that JCS is off, so Dunne reverts to CB, leaving us short at RB. We'll know when the team comes out at 19.00

It is not the first time we have had a game on deadline day is it?
I definitely recall it happening at least once before.

Not helpful playing a game the day and time window closes Agreed but that's Sky for you. Shooting their Deadline Day special in the foot as well. On the other hand as long as Marti is happy with the player(s) , which I assume he must be before tonight, the final paperwork and faxing to the EFL can all be handled by the backroom team and Nourry. The other potential bright side is that once we see tonights team it should be obvious if there are any last minute outgoings. If JCS is in the starting 11 it only leaves an hour post match for a deal to be done unless he gets pulled at half time with a goodbye wave to the fans. 14 hours to go and counting. Will we see a new striker? Doubt it and it means we are spending a good part of Dykes transfer fee on a RB loan. Expect to see some development squad names creeping on to the bench mid season instead. Meanwhile once this window closes Marti knows who he has got to work with and can really get to work to sort out the best and gel a team. Expect that to take another 6 games or so which is the disadvantage of the window going past the start of season. Expecting Luton will probably do us by the one goal tonight. Think I would have preferred the league win over the cup win but we will have more players coming back in tonight than they will so there is hope.

is the free transfers of Hoos Les and Tony
No question and Dykes

Really as his high wages impacts on our 3 year cycle and he would block the pathway for Varane or possibly Madsen. We can’t ever see a profit in him so for those reasons it’s a no for me.

No significant unwanted outbounds is a result. An unexpected one for me too, I'd expected one of Chair or JCS to be off.
