Not very inspiring so far. Eze doing ok. Palmer struggling a bit. Watkins anonymous.

This lot definitely don't like the physical side of the game, few of them being bullied by the Bosnians

Cole Palmer should be starting in my book. You pick your form players in a Summer tournament. Unlike the Danish coach who left out Matt O'Riley.🤷♂️ What an idiot. wtf? why did he leave him out? danish midfielders haven't exactly lit the world on fire this season but o'riley has been exceptional for celtic

Eze looking head and shoulders above everyone else. I dunno. He's tried hard yeah but hasn't really done anything. He's done ok, nothing special.

Completely forgot Trent was playing. I don't think he touched the ball.

Completely forgot Trent was playing. I don't think he touched the ball. Does he ever play central mid for Liverpool? I didn’t think he did, so why on earth does he start for England there. Like Rooney and Beckham playing in the quarterback role!

Eze looking head and shoulders above everyone else. Peter Czech is the only person who looked that

Cole Palmer should be starting in my book. You pick your form players in a Summer tournament. Problem is who does he replace? Foden and Saka both had superb seasons too. I think you could potentially play all 3 with Rice and Bellingham in the middle. Ballsy, but would be fine against the sides in the group. More likely he'll put Palmer on the bench and play Trent in the engine room.

Forgot he was playing. Palmer seemed to struggle for me tonight, took the pen well though.

The boy scores play him with Kane
Could be a revelation like Michael Owen was
Think you have to include Grealish also He changes a game off the bench
Kane Palmer
Maddison Foden Eze Saka
Rice Trent
What a team that is going forward

shame we have so many great midfield players, but our defence is s*8t That's why you play to your strengths, not to accomodate your weaknesses. And tbf whilst I don't disagree our defence is def our achilles heel; in entials Kyle Walker who is arguably one of the best RBs in the world, and John Stones who is no slouch. It's the fact Maguire is starting, plus the lack of a fully fit recognised LB that gives us cause for concern.

who will partner stones in the backline i wonder? gomez or konsa are likely to be playing at LB but tbh i've personally never rated gomez that highly. would prefer it to be dunk, guy is a quality albeit underrated CB and brings leadership to the team.

Guehi more than likely, which doesn't fill me with confidence.

Says he’s keeping Quansah around the squad because he hasn’t had the experience but isn’t keeping Branthwaite who has impressed in the Prem. Just weird.

One of those 'we'll have to score more than them’ squads Correct me if I’m wrong, but having to score more than the opposition is quite an important concept in tournament football, regardless of whether the squad has an attacking or defensive set-up….

Sure. Meant in the Keegan sense obvs. IOW often resulting in high scoring games, when a team has a stronger attack than defence.

.....Rather than disgracefully leave the DDay Ceremony early, Sunak would have done better to have started up a chant of 'Ten German Bombers' from the stage.
