Foden doesn't work for England, he should not be starting any game. Same with TAA. Much rather see Palmer in attack than Foden.

real Jekyll and Hyde performances those two halfs First half Serbia sat back and 2nd half they came to play on front foot and press us. Foden goes missing for England on the left. Why can’t we just play players in their positions for their clubs? With players like Bellingham, Kane, Saka and Rice, we just need to fit around them. like Foden but he’s a better player for city because of the players he has around him always looks lost in England shirt more often then not.

Trent doesn’t play central mid for Liverpool. This is top level football. Trent plays great passes but you don’t get much time in central midfield.

It’s a win to start. That’ll do. Better to come.

TAA shouldn't be near CM at all, he can get away with it v shite oppo but against any credible side he is completely out his depth in the middle, positionally.
Bit pony last night boring as to watch but a wins a win, expect us to gradually build some momentum.

Another one for the memories. Man wrapped in QPR flag in second pic anyone recognise him?

Southgate’s legacy will be three things. 1) Creating unity within the England set up 2) Reaching the latter stages of tournaments but ultimately winning naff all. 3) Having players at his disposal who if unshackled just a bit could open up most teams at will. Instead they’re happy to play two yard passes backwards and forwards for large parts of a game, with hardly any end product.
First half was ok but fuck me, the second half was an absolute bore fest from an England fans perspective. Someone needs to release a new version of World In Motion, incorporating the line “Don’t express yourself”

first 30 minutes were simply brilliant. fuck knows what happened after that though, far too sloppy, disorganised and invited way too much pressure.
serbia are a good attack minded team though so it's good to keep a clean sheet and a wins a win at the end of the day. hopefully the team learns from it, gareth's inability to make subs at the right time worries me though.

Moving on, how do we fancy our chances against the Danes on Thursday? Who are your dangermen 1qprdk ? Dunno. Eriksen and Wind were really good first half last night. Rest was meh. Skov-Olsen can be a handful right wing, but he was benchmeat. Højlund up top not working atm. like at manure. Seems like our coach is a twat, much like your one, because he left good players out like Matt O'Riley, and Phil Billing who offers something completely different to our other midfielders. Also Schmeichel is past it. Shoot and you will score.

Another one for the memories. Man wrapped in QPR flag in second pic anyone recognise him? Yeah that's me before I went bald. Stan made a good point. Most of our attacks were coming down the right through Saka and a combination of his legs going a bit and better defending from his oppo pretty much snuffed the danger out. Could really do with Shaw getting fit asap to give us options both flanks.

Atm. I'm thinking 8-1 England. It’s the wrong time of the year for shrooms in the UK. Do they appear earlier in Denmark😆

Agree and really can't see the point in playing Trippier on the left And when is Foden actually going to do anything in an England shirt?

Palmer has great 10 stats, up there with the best in Europe.
He also happens to be in world class form. You could easily include him and Jude in the same line up and it would look less unbalanced than last night.
Thing about Jude is that he's clocked up an awful lot of miles recently and with his work rate it will start to tell if he isn't properly managed.
Our left hand side was a problem for most of the night, that needs sorting ASAP. Back line was OK in general but the Southgate mindset also became apparent for what, the last 50 minutes.
We've paid the price for that before, someone needs to get a serious grip. We ended up playing like Scotland.

Winning, as ugly as it was, means he has options. Might even see Eze. Agree, TA-A isn’t right partner for Rice at this level. If you are going on form not past performances then even Gordon gets a shout.

Some reports were pretty good for TAA, but for me, he gave the ball away too cheaply too many times and some of his passing not up to his usually decent standard.
