Slovakian forward (not a striker) possibly incoming. Although he has numerous offers by all accounts. Played 4 games in the Euros. Despite Jimmy getting it wrong first time round 😝, he is in fact a Slovenian Striker. We all knew what you meant tho Jimmy 😉. |

wow. amazed that we have brought in a prolific striker, feels like a real coup and given the fee relatively low risk.
we are really building a good side here now with options across the pitch. only need a few more players and we'll be ready to cook!

What a fantastic signing, along with Heverton and Liam Morrison, and coming off the back of an (alleged) unexpectedly fat fee for Armstrong, and with Marti at the helm, this feels like the most positive close season in a long while. Got a feeling there might be a few more to come. 2024/25... Bring it on!

think we'll see the best of chair now alongside zan. chair always holds onto the ball but with someone who can actually make runs and be a genuine goal threat i reckon we'll see far less of him doing that. always thought chair would shine in a better team.

Looking at the showreel, Celar is good at running in behind the back line.
That requires the correct service, and we were very poor at that last term.
So Marti will be setting some obvious homework to get the team to gel.
Dykes is such an enigma. It is more noticeable at the ground than on-line viewing, but he does a lot of running, and then the likes of Chair and Willock rarely passed to him, both choosing to cut inside and shoot instead. He also tracks back a lot.
Successive managers have made him our first choice up top, there has been a stream of rumours of interest in him from other clubs. But that interest, like so much of his play amounts to nothing.
Somehow, Scotland manage to serve him better than we do and he was missed in the Euros, and yet the frustration watching him play for QPR when he is nowhere near the cross, no poaching instinct, and then even his thunderbolt penalty got sussed out.
He is one that could move on and do well, but much like Armstrong, not many regular supporters think it will happen.
There will be few tears if he moves on, and Celar will want his number nine shirt!

Read the match report. Looked like we started mostly bench guys, and brought on “starters” 20 minutes into the second half. At least the scoring (against us) stopped once that happened.
But why only give Celar 15 minutes of burn? Hell, I still have 15 minutes in me😂
