Personally I'm happy about Cook.
Mainly because
1) He's solid
2) We need bodies
3) He's a lump
But get a fucking striker in!!! The team has next to no goals in it.

Cook, good signing as would Batt be, solid defence all of sudden.
Most pleasing thing to read is Ainsworth stating we want 4.5 or 6 players. If that’s the case and we can get the right ones in then it’s a different story 🙌🙌

My impression on Cook, Fat, old, no pace ,clumsy player and highly likely to be injury prone as only played 29 games in last 2 seasons.

Considering our overall situation/predicament, I think Cook is probably the right player at the right time.
With Colback, will hopefully add a bit Derry/Hill guts/nastiness, which has been sorely missing.

Ok some players we getting not bad, but they old. Just means yet another rebuild in next season or 2. First we have a vision, then we have a disaster. Now we short very short term trying to put a plaster on to fix it. If your going to throw money at it at least invest it with a chance of some return

All I have seen since we signed Steve Cook on various different social media platforms is Forrest fans saying what a good player he is and we are lucky to have him.
they seem to think we’ve got a really good player here. Him and Batth at the back for this season with Dunne and JCS chipping in as well is significant improvement.
Our objective this year with our financial situation has to be staying up. Does this signing improve that change, 100%.
If Ainsworth interview yesterday is correct and there is another 3, 4 or 5 on the way then it’s a game changer for us.
I do just wonder if 3 or 4 are on the way with field and Willock leaving.

He initially filled a gaping hole in Forests defence when their main defender got injured to get them up.
Cook was not given a shirt number and excluded from their squad after last seasons January window for a reason.

When it comes to mental strength the squad has shown itself to be weaker than water. Love him or loath him, GA is at least trying to address that. It’s not a medium/long term solution obviously and with our limited revenue we really need to up our game with regards to recruitment and development. That’ll take years though and we need to change things immediately. |
