Dembele is clearly a baller with a great touch but reminds me of an apprentice on a building site. You see them floating around but limited contribution leaving you hoping at some point they’ll kickstart the opportunity they’ve been handed. need to get him on the gear and a couple of late nights clubbing.

He's awesome as he played for Celtic when he was just 16.

very talented player and did some nice things today but has dropped off a bit after his first few games. still expect him to come good though but like all the players he needs to step it up.

Who would you replace him with Bill, and what would your team be, out of interest?

Who would you replace him with Bill, and what would your team be, out of interest? him Saito and Smyth all equally as bad as each other. Could chair go left and try Saito on right see how that goes.

Problem is AMFs way too deep.
Everyone knows that we're going to knock it around at the back real slow, that means their back line can push up and smother us in midfield.
They don't have to worry because we don't turn them with quicker ball. The writing has been on the wall since pre season.
It doesn't matter who plays if the manager isn't up to speed. On anything.

It doesn't matter who plays if the manager isn't up to speed. actually that bit isn't quite true. There have been instances where the playing staff have taken control of things when it became clear that management was failing. Problem is, to do this you need a bedrock of experience on the park. The most notable example was from rugby when Harlequins coached themselves all the way to the prem title in 21. They just went out there and did it their way, which was very different from the way their head coach wanted them to play. He subsequently left and they went on to win the title without a gaffer. When Joe Fagan took over from Shankly at Liverpool, the senior players basically ran the show. During this period they were incredibly successful. But again, they had a foundation of experienced pros on hand. People talk about the cultural impact of Wenger at Arsenal, but he massively relied on that experienced defence to get through the transition. We've got too many newcomers and precious few leaders, so this approach doesn't apply to us, plus I'd like to think Marti will get a grip. He needs to, because I don't see any guvnors in a hooped shirt.

agree build up bit of anger in him see if it gives him kick up arse. think a lot of players need that kick up the arse lol. feel a bit for EDB too, not the greatest player but has potential and it's gotta be frustrating for him seeing other struggling players continue getting chances while he warms the bench.
