Nardi excellent barring maybe the goal of being harsh. Dembele kept quiet but still moments of brilliance. Smyth good when he came on as was varane. Brilliant night, phenomenal support. Special mention to oh Micky your so fine your so fine you blow my mind Frey, what a performance. Everything a big number 9 should be wrapped up in a massive bald lunatic. Missed the last 20, listened to it on Talksport, sounds like Nardi played a fucking blinder. He's had some pelters the last week or so, but he's shown tonight why he's number 1. We have two very good keepers competing for that shirt and I'm here for it.

Didn't someone say Madsen should be pulled off during the first half? Glad he wasn't "hooked" That was me. He didn't work in the number ten. And, other than the goal, didn't do much on the left, but was better. Smyth coming in, Dembele moved to the number ten, and Lloyd being subbed made that win possible. |

Had half an eye on my iPad during a slightly social evening... mad the wife jump at full time with a not quite as muted celebration as I imagined...
BRILLIANT result, just seen Frey's assist (out-muscled defence, could have gone down, but battled on to poke the perfect layoff to Madsen) and goal (thumping volley) - would Dykes have got either???

For both teams the goals made a big difference… proper ebb and flow type of game ! We were better in first 20mins , goal down and lost our shape , we score and play our game and they lose theirs but momentum kept with us and eventually see out the win. We looked a good team but shocking at times especially in defence! That is a really good win , so happy this evening

Dembele has to be in the side as an out and out number 10 as he has the touch, vision and weight of pass to really help out strikers. Marti is really doing an unbelievable job and look at the difference 12 months makes.

Marti puts out Alfie and though not great, man did he cover some ground and force Luton to cover. Put him the second half and let him continue with the quickness. Sub him and Madden out for even faster players. Luton is now chasing the game. Can’t keep up, We score, we win. Marti is playing chess here, I think. And he has the pieces to play with too. Something we haven’t had in awhile. |
