if so that’s probably JCS off. That’s a shame, JCS and Cook is pretty good CB pairing.

sorry, getting in a right mess. The fella above is a Sturm Graz player and they have rejected loans deals from several clubs including ours, this is widely reported acorss news outlets. We have are crossing the T 'sand dotting the I's on a young right back from Newcastle Harrison Ashbey. Dont know any more than that.

This is the first signing I don't understand.

This is the first signing I don't understand. As some have said, could mean that JCS is off, so Dunne reverts to CB, leaving us short at RB.

Reckon Cannon has gone or is going and santos maybe viewed as a longer project and not ready for the here and now.

Unless Santos going straight out on loan seems baffling to me.
Will Jimmy now be second choice?

So we help develop Newcastle's right back.
One of our biggest battlers and team motivators (Dunne) is pushed to the reserves.
We are paying Santos to be third choice right back (admittedly with the odd game probably playing further forward).
Meanwhile we have one fit left back, he is running down his contract, and the manager has gone on record saying we aren't going to pick players who are not signed up for the long term.
Confused? You can be supporting Queens Park Rangers.
The other transfers all look like decent business - or you can at least see the logic behind them - so overall think we have had a very good window.
But as someone else commented, this is the one transfer that leaves me scratching my head.
Of course we previously dropped a decent right back into the reserves who later got a Premier League winners medal - in order to accommodate a young Premier League right back on loan. His name was Kyle Walker and he was a different class even then, so what do I know? Maybe it will turn out to be an inspired move...

See where you're coming from Stains, but I don't think Dunne will drop to the reserves, but rather move back to centre of defence?

Maybe he wants to rest Cook and JCS for the odd game which would be sensible to keep them fresh but they are such an established pair, its only going to be a game here and there. Besides, I think Dunne really good value at right back particularly for the height and strength he gives us defending and attacking set pieces. Never been that convinced in him as a centre half tho.

And youngish, new to the league, can be developed etc. Dunne and Harrison Ashby compete for the RB spot Cannon departs

Think Newcastle guy will be back up to Dunne
No way Marti will drop him
As he wont be getting in Cb over Salter or Cook
Great cover in place though

Waste of resources bringing in another rb when we have other areas that need strengthening.

looks like ashby has joined. think that's him in the background and the "There. We. Stand." gives away that it's another signing lol.
