Unbeaten away and rapidly becoming the division's draw specialists vs the riding high Rovers.
Who will prevail, if anyone?!
Poll added.

Be delighted with a draw here as Blackburn riding high - but we do need a win soon!

Some have suggested 4-5-1 is no longer working and we need a change to 4-3-3. That may suit Madsen more as he could play in the middle of the three. We're too lightweight with him and Flaneur in the same team though, so with Chair rumoured to soon be back, perhaps something like: Nardi
Dunne Cook JCS Paal
Colback Madsen Field
Dembele Frey Chair/Saito

Good win there earlier this year. Surely Chair will be off the bench for 30 or so first game back? Or not at all if we’re doing ok.

Dembele Frey Chair/Saito Think Madsen the weak link there. Agree we need Colback if fit, much as his lack of control frustrates me. Saito was a rare positive for me on Saturday so would keep him. Imagine if Chair is anywhere near coming back it will be off the bench first game.

Went with a win. Marti may well agree with Stan and add some wrinkle to our dysfunctional lineup. If 433, the outside men up front will have to help the fbs, so we aren't overrun when we are defending.

i don't mind the 4231 that hybridises to a 433 from time to time. problem so far is the link between the 2 sitters and the front 3 has been pretty nonexistent plus the passing it around the back hasn't worked out too well either. think JCS and paal can manage it but cook, field and dunne aren't really those types of players, they can do it in a pinch but not as well as we need.

MC sets us up in a 4-2-3-1 from what I can see, Awin? 4-3-3 is pretty different to that? yeah reckon 4-3-3 is pretty different, more offensive because yr 9 spends less time isolated, more potential for quick ball/ i don't mind the 4231 that hybridises to a 433 from time to time. problem so far is the link between the 2 sitters and the front 3 has been pretty nonexistent plus the passing it around the back hasn't worked out too well either. think JCS and paal can manage it but cook, field and dunne aren't really those types of players, they can do it in a pinch but not as well as we need. 4-2-3-1 play out was what did for Warbs, without the talent a decent press will always find you out and then everyone smells blood. MCif needs to cut according to the cloth, not according to his own rigid belief system. He needs to mix things up more, and he needs to rethink 4-2-3-1. Is he up to it?

Could we not put 2 of them in front of the defence and one in the middle 3
This would stiffen up the spine of the team James and stop all the problems
We have too many weak as piss players in the team atm
4-2-3-1 with all 3 playing

The whole issue with the team is midfield
Last year it was attack now it is midfield

We can't afford another anonymous game from Madsen. Colback - terrifying prospect though he is - has to start as he has been known, once or twice a game, to pass forwards. I would even prefer EDB - at least he tries to move the ball forward.

Illias Chair has completed his community service (Sorry, meant his back is all better) and is back in training, small chance he may be in squad for blackburn.

Draw would be a brilliant result. In isolation it would be a great point. but given we've drawn a few games already, there is pressure to get all three points.

“Just as feasible as any of the above is the possibility there was a transfer being negotiated which has now fallen through, or is on hold, because of the injury/court case - hence Marti’s odd comment about HOPING HE STAYS.”
Happy to stand by that😁
