Mate 2 pre season friendlies, the daggers cant be out yet surely. That's madness. 10-15 games into the season it's got to be. Practically new team, new manager, they've got to be given a chance. Tonight really brought home the real need for strikers. Oteh just hasn't cut it in the last two games; they were big opportunities for him. Positives for me so far are Dominic Ball, Ryan Manning and our wingers. Amos looks a player too and very impressed with Kelly's distribution. I think it's 50/50 between him and Lumley at the moment as to who will start the season. |

Not watched any games Stan. What have wingers showed and which ones have impressed? Shodipo has particularly impressed for me Wests. Very direct, pacey and productive. BOS a real live wire too (just needs to improve his end-product). We have genuine pace on both wings now. The concern is we're getting exposed at the back in this system when the two FB's push up and we get caught on the break. Hamalainen was excellent when he came on too, made some surging runs and again seems to have genuine pace. He's also further ahead in fitness as he's been playing in LA on loan during the summer. |

Good to read that about Shodipo he deserves a break.
Interesting to hear about FB getting forward as if we pull it off adds new dimension to our game attacking wise, but does leave us vulnerable at the back unless we have FB that can recover out of possession or smart MF who slot in
Pre season is the time to trial and perfect it
