It seems we have secured a bit of a gem with this signing.
If you check out social media you’ll see Bournemouth fans and Hull fans staying he’s the real deal and even at 32 could ‘boss’ the championship.
All I have seen is positive comments which is very rare.
He could be our playmaker!!

Looks a good signing mate.
I think we have the makings of a decent squad now. If I was being uber picky I'd want another striker. Left back is a bit of concern considering Wallace is nowhere to be seen and has a poor history with injuries, but I think Kane is pretty comfortable there so we should be ok. Also we need to get the players that aren't wanted (Luongo, Wheeler, Goss & possibly Leistner) out of the door this week. All in all though, I'm really impressed at what Warburton has managed to achieve this season.

Definite replacement for Freeman, something I'm not sure anyone expected. Possibly an upgrade? With his experience in the PL it's not a stretch to imagine he might well be. Very excited by this signing. Just hope he's fit and ready.

Very excited by this signing. Just hope he's fit and ready. I only heard he was signing about an hour before kick off yesterday mate. The club have done a pretty good job this window of keeping their transfer dealings quiet. Interestingly, that James Nutt on WATRB's called the Pugh transfer over a week ago. The bloke is a weirdo, but clearly he does know a thing or 2!

On the subject of Pugh though, just seen on a Bournemouth forum they used to shout "Puuuuuuggggghhhh" instead of sing or cheers for him. Surely that sounds like booing? 😂 Hull did it last season too.

And just like that, after the last few days, I'm very excited for this season. Keeping my expectations very low, but quietly buzzing.

anyone think Leistner's second half appearance may mean he might be in Warbs plans?

anyone think Leistner's second half appearance may mean he might be in Warbs plans? I think it depends if another CB comes in, like that McKenna from Aberdeen we have been linked with. I think if he signs Leistner will be off, Warbs may have just given him some time to keep sharp just in case. To be honest, with Hall, Barbet, Masterson and maybe McKenna, I'd be all for getting a fee for Leistner.

He done ok but did get caught out twice but recovered well
Personally I would keep him and save money from bringing someone else in
So do we think Pugh is replacement for Judge or would have been after both???

On this subject me and my mate tried for years to do 'Luuuuuke' whenever he took corners near us in R Block. Just like the golfer Luke Donald. It never caught on despite our best efforts (and the withering stares from our sons!)

We're a mid to bottom table side, have a couple of treasures to keep us going for a couple of years when we sell them and are relying on average to subpar recruits to rocket us to success.
Pugh has had an easy ride so far. Time to really put the boot in and maybe we can do a Scowen on him.

Actually reminds me of Matt Smith in the way he moves as he looks awkward and like he’s struggling
You can tell he’s got good ability and football head but perhaps the body can no longer keep up with the pace of the game.
He controls the ball very well and picks people out but that in modern game is only fraction of what is expected.
How long did he sign for? If it was one year I would look to let go

Got a player or chairman you don't like? well there's an elite band of men who can solve this problem. If you can find them, you can hire them, the man Utd men in black gate attack squad.

Not pulling up trees but I’ll be honest, I like his determination, grit and effort. Always get the impression he gives 110% and that’s all I want.
If some flair comes with that fantastic but for a free signing I think he’s been ok for us on limited game time.

Yeah, think he has been OK and attitude is good. Just hasn't affected games and pushed for a starting place the way I would have hoped. Probably a good influence to have around the squad.

Puts the effort in but hasn't made any real impact. Probably would have benefitted more from bringing Manning into midfield yesterday than Pugh (IMO)

I don`t think he has been given enough chances. He clearly lacks match fitness, that`s why he failed to score on the guilt edged chance he was given yesterday. .
