Our recruitment from under 7's up is absloutely terrible and from the youngsters up we have no philosophy at all at the football club. My pals under 8's class was all about one on onw duels and they were the benchmark that the boys were judged on. No wonder we do not produce any players for the first team!

4-1's not bad, but I'm seriously disappointed in the team selection.
There's only ONE double-barrelled name in there FFS - think we should be aiming for at least three...

Really surprised Richards name is not on todays U21 teamsheet, unbelievable that he’s not been ‘force fed ‘ these type of games to improve his overall fitness.

Remember his last kick of the game winner vs Man Utd That was a great and bizarre night in equal measure. One of the best games of the late 80s - amd the 5th time we had played them that season- played out in front of a crowd of less than 9,000 and a ridiculous amount of trouble outside if I haven't got my matches against them that season mixed up.

Like to think that if MC was not at today’s U21 game he would be seeking a long conversation persuading Paul Furlong to join the first team coaching staff. Think he’s had them top of the league since season started.
Aoraha sounds like he suffered a bad injury.

Got a tune out of Cole Kpekawa et al. back then iirc. Shame about Alex, hope it's nothing serious.

True, but I’ve heard Ramsey and other coaches say results are not important at youth level, Furlong is putting that excuse to bed right now.

Instill a winning mentality throughout must be better surely.

I’m willing to think there’s probably better alternatives to Field, Dozzell, Dykes and Kellman amongst our U18s right now.

Two late goals from Nathan Jeche earns a 3-3 draw at Ipswich, early days for him being picked regularly for the U21s but I wouldn’t rule him out for the first team bench.

surprised he was the one who looked like a handful when I’d seen him. Good luck to him. Could and should have made more of his 6’5” height by going to the gym. Didn’t seem to be so enthusiastic when roughed up but had a decent touch on the ball. Surprised he appears to be leaving as thought he hasn’t played for months due to an injury.

One of our U-18 strikers scored a hat-trick last week. I don't remember his name.
