With his contract running out end of season doubt he will be back. A year or two ago there was quite a lot of optimism about him. Frightening really that he was someone being talked about for the first team and has gone to Sutton. Still, all for clearing out the dead wood and getting pointless salaries off the wage bill (if indeed Sutton are paying his wages). |

Interesting to see Alfie Tuck stepping up from the U18s, like the initial look of him. |

I’ve been quite critical of Peddar at times but can’t help but appreciate the work rate he puts in, reminds me a bit of Simon Barker and importantly can deliver a corner.
Second time I’ve watched and been impressed with Alfie Tuck when he came on for last 15mins, seen his face in amongst the first team training pictures, he looks a decent alternative to Field being missing.

Calculated risk I suppose, getting more legs, and understanding in the team, before a crucial run in, outweighs potential injuries. Hopefully we'll see the benefit of this in upcoming results. |

It’s about balance and it’s a decision I’m glad I don’t have to make. One decision I would make is to play Frey over Donkey any day. Two goals is two goals whoever you’re playing and scoring becomes a habit.

They are all apparently expected to be released by their clubs at the end of the season.

those types of warm up games are more gentlemanly and about match fitness rather than competitive. arsenal had a few players coming back from injury too so the managers would have agreed to keep it clean and less intense beforehand.

Good. More value in looking at these kind of players than devoting lots of resource to 12-year-olds where its probably 100-1 - maybe even 1000-1 - that one will ever break into the first team. Long thought this should be the strategy for a club like us. Wonder what this forward from West Ham is like. |
