Are BC able to pay more than us for him? And what kind of wages will he be offered? Hmm, I don`t like this...He is my favourite player.

Disappointing to read Burnley have an extension option. Thought he was free to walk end of season. Inflates his price again especially as he's running at approximately a goal every other game this season.
£35k a week wages at Burnley. Wouldn't he rather sit tight on that for 1 more season because we are certainly not going anywhere near that and I can't see the other two clubs mentioned paying that either.
Really hope we have something up our sleeve with this one.

Hugill is injured as well Shit news if it happens That`s why we have to buy a striker in this window. Clarke is unproven, but can play upfront. But I`m beginning to hope we will go for Shankland...

'How fucked by FFP are we' ? or praise us for showing restraint and sticking to the plan whilst others continue to over spend Wells is worth a certain price. If it goes above the price we set then It is what it is, if others want pay over that or rate him higher then that’s down to them

Let's ask ourselves a question how their stadium capacity is 27,000 and average attendance is over 20,000. They are massively bigger than us!

Let's ask ourselves a question how their stadium capacity is 27,000 and average attendance is over 20,000. They are massively bigger than us! That is not the only criteria though is it? Are they bigger than Bournemouth then for example? I would argue that over the course of recent history we are bigger than them. However, I accept they are considerabbllyyy richer than us now.

Yes Ginge There is loads of speculation about him going if he’s off why stir the pot with that and focus any attention on him See one of the other social media dudes on twitter also tweeting about Wells. 2+2 =

I hope you're right Westy, it's just we've seen stuff like this before, same happened just before Austin went. I won't feel relaxed about it until after the Jan window shuts, as Burnley will more than likely want to cash in, and even then I'm not convinced he'll sign for us in the summer. We can't afford his wages.

Sadly another side of football that stinks agreements, contracts mean nothing,i really hope he does not got but would not be surprised.
As a club we really need to make representations to the powers that be re our ffp situation as recent ffp decisions are far more lenient points deduction etc whereas we were given a life sentence that has crippled us,surely this is disproportionate, unlawful and totally unfair.

decision rests with wells at the end of the day and hes come out numerous times saying he wants to stay which is strange for loan players tbh. if he does leave it'll be because of the wages which is fair enough for someone his age, we won't pay big wages for someone his age aside from maybe a promotion bonus

I wonder where we are as far as Shankland is concerned. Saving the money perhaps. "Perhaps" is the keyword here..

I wonder where we are as far as Shankland is concerned. Saving the money Perhaps. "Perhaps" is the keyword here.. I think the nature of how we operate in the transfer market these days means that this one will happen in a scenario where a.) Wells leaves, or b.) we get close to the window closing and the player or Dundee Utd want to get a deal done. As things stand, we don't actually need a striker. Of course it would be nice have another option given 3 of our front men are on loan, but it isn't a necessity. I also suspect that we'd rather not spend any money this window if we don't have to. Signings will only happen if they are essential and at the right price!

Let's ask ourselves a question how their stadium capacity is 27,000 and average attendance is over 20,000. They are massively bigger than us! There are two teams in Bristol and thirteen teams in London, it's not hard to work out why. We have three other clubs within walking distance of us.
