Great admirer of Eze, great player, and I am excited whenever he gets the ball, but I suspect he won't do well with the top wankers in the Premiership, entirely because he isn't lightening quick in terms of pace. BOS on the other hand..... It would be interesting to see NFL style numbers on his speed over short distances as we have seen him pick up the ball and run past defenders a number of times this season and he didn't appear too slow. His loping style would seem to be deceptive compared to Samuel or Chair but I doubt he is that much slower than those two. I would say that he is starting to tire at the end of games these days but as someone who has played every minute of every game I thnk a bit of slack can be cut, especially if he saves it for when it really matters. I agree. His skill when getting possession easily gets him a yard, which allows him to beat a player, sometimes to the side, but often beyond them, but when in possession he hasn't that explosive athletic pace they look for now (and search the world for, unfortunately.). Gazza, before he ruined himself, was slower than Eze (Brady too), but it's a different game now, sadly.

Of course we'd spend if we went up, it doesn't have to be like a lottery winner in Harrods, That's why he's spinning the board's line. He can just about manage that. There are alternative ways of circumventing FPP (as we've seen elsewhere) but apparently they involved too much brain power for anyone at LR. Otherwise we wouldn't have been so vulnerable re the original, ill advised shopping spree. You have invented a "Les Ferdinand" in your head and are spinning it as if that is the truth. The truth is that neither you, me or anyone else on this board can speak for what they are going to do; you can have an opinion but you aren't offering your opinion, you are claiming that what you post is fact. You may end up being, for the most part, right but will still only be an opinion as it stands today.
Of course its my opinion, irrespective of how I phrase it. Last time I checked this was an internet forum. In the end we'll never find out whether I'm right, because we aren't getting promoted anytime soon.
I only wish Les was a figment of my imagination. But there's nothing imaginary about him spinning the board's line, that's what he (and Hoos) are paid to do. Or do you think he is the author of the fiscal policy?

I think he will be asked for input as he is a board member. It would be remiss for his input to be ignored. IMO, QPR would be in a far more parlous state without Ferdinand, Hoos and Bhattia running the show these days.

Anyone else wondering if Les might be in the running for the FA job? I suspect with everything that's going on they'll at very least interview some BAME candidates. Can't think of many more qualified (on paper) than Les.

I think he did it on purpose, a way out for some reason. I am 3 years older than Clarke so, like him, I grew up when the word coloured was the polite word to use. Nobody ever used the word black unless it was in an offensive way. I've no idea when this changed around - I've had this conversation with my mates - but it no longer occurs to me to say coloured and I can't believe someone in a public role, exposed all the time to what is now unacceptable in many ways, hasn't moved on.

The fuss about his female goalkeeping comment is bollocks though. My daughter ended up with an England hockey keeper trial because she was the only girl in her year at school brave enough to have a hockey ball smashed at her - and they wear body armour.

i do think its bullshit that greg clarke has been vilified for an innocent slip of the tongue, especially after he apologised. Not only that it was in the context of a statement where he was actually speaking out against racism. It's all so utterly farcical. I think he did it on purpose, a way out for some reason. Perhaps so. It might explain why he doesn't sue for unfair dismissal as he'd likely have a very strong case. We're living in 'compensation culture' times after all.

Good luck to Les and I hope they appoint someone on merit rather than any other reason and based on merit he would be sure to be a leading candidate.

Manager, scouts, maybe Ramsey find the players and Hoos says if we can afford them or not. Save the money. Les has served his purpose. If he goes Ramsey and Hoos can easily handle things moving forward. Maybe Amit could take a more hands on approach for some commercial and public facing responsibilities.
