He's in very mediocre company. The tallest pygmy. 😆😆 In all seriousness and despite what Bill might think Warburton and his team deserve real credit. Just look at the type of football we are playing, yesterday being a prime example. Slick passing, plenty of movement off the ball and two brilliantly worked goals straight from the training ground. We’re not the polished article but the manager and his staff clearly place a lot of emphasis on the finer details and it makes for entertaining football. What’s not to like. Of course we will have lapses during a game, every team does. If we didn’t we’d piss the league and that’s not where we are yet. He’s had some time to get some of the players in he wants, with a bit more time and backing from the board the future looks very positive. The present doesn’t look too bad either.

You've clearly set the bar high, Bill. I guess that's a good thing!

On the whole, he is a likeable character, albeit he scares me a bit when I feel he`s speaking to me personally in interviews where he`s angry at supporters who dare critising him and how he sets up the team.

"There's certain moments in seasons that can define your team" - Mark Warburton
Very critical of both the pen and red card decisions.
Even with 10 men he was confident we'd win.

Fair play to him and his staff for turning things around since December when we and he were not in a good position. A team has been built the right with a good mix and I would say we are not a million miles away from being a team looking up rather than looking down.

Blaming the schedule we have in his after match interview. Surely you win the game your playing before thinking about the next one. What happened to 1 game at a time? Subbing Wallace and Barbet was a mistake which we were very lucky to get away with. Tells me squad is not strong enough and we are playing Orient ffs Morning Bill! How are you feeling today? Bit more positive about Warbs hopefully?

Was never a big lover of Warburton. Yes, we had some good performances but I was really bored with all the pointless passing around in our own half and the way he capitulated after ‘that’ January was inexcusable but the way things have panned out it does seem the problems were caused by those behind the scenes. I’d love to hear his, and Beale’s, version of events at this club.

Ferdinand's biggest mistake was getting rid of MW as he took the spotlight off him and Hoos. These past 6 months have highlighted how bad things are behind the scenes.

It’s been great since and it’s all worked out better and things have improved beyond what anyone could have anticipated 😁
Those calling for his exit were absolutely spot on so well done all. I hope the calls for new owners, DOF, CEO and youth set up etc are just as successful as club will be as strong as it has even been. 🫣

Obviously it has been shit since but I was, and still am, happy that he moved on.

Perhaps Warburton was the person holding it all together 🤔 Maybe he spent too much time doing Dof stuff, and forgot about the coaching.

Total stagnation.

No regrets for me.
Wasn’t liked by most of the players and had a meltdown.
2 strikers on the bench and nine in the starting XI, insisting on playing Jeff Hendrick every week despite the fact he was shit for us. Tippy tappy bollox in our own half and only ever finished mid table.
No loss and happy to see him move on.
Mick Mole was the problem this season no one else in fairness. His big talk about decency, honour and loyalty to them walk out is what completely spun the players heads. I blame him.

This is interesting. Not sure if there is a longer interview with him would be interesting to listen to whole thing if there is one. First time we’ve heard version from him that I recall.
Assuming the person picking up the phone would be Les?? If so not handled very professionally.

When Warburton answered questions about the primary role of a DOF it was my impression that some of his answers were a side swipe at Ferdinand.

When Warburton answered questions about the primary role of a DOF it was my impression that some of his answers were a side swipe at Ferdinand. I think its pretty much public knowledge that off the park the club is clueless. End of, really. I can think of no other club in the top two tiers in which people with the form of Les, Ramsey and Belk would still be in their jobs.
