Kakay has terrible positioning , I was taught at primary school stay goal side of attacker, not 5 yards in front Could probably call all our wing backs out for this at one point or another mate. We do have a habit of bombing forward with little caution.

Had a very decent game today when he was brought on for the second half.
Hopefully under a new regime he can be given a fair opportunity to see if he’s able to compete for a particular position rather than Mr utility.

Good game today but he was given a proper chance last season and didn't do well.

Like Dom Ball for me if he’s happy being squad player then he has a place. If we think he’s a starter then we’re going nowhere

Maybe if the new manager picks a system to suit the players instead of the square pegs in round holes he might perform much better.
Can’t be bothered to post the stats from last season but when he played at RB we barely lost a game, but hey let’s just say he’s crap and not give him a fair chance.😎

Awful defender but reasonably good getting forward. Should we accept he’s not a RB or RWB and try adapting him as a winger RMF?
Discuss

What's he been like for Sierra Leone?

What's he been like for Sierra Leone? I’m Jamaican background so no idea 🤣😂 but I know he’s bang average at best for us Think he was at fault for first goal backing off instead of engaging. If he backed off anymore he would have been in the lower school end with the kids for a quid.

Average player who had a good game going foreard yesterday. perfect summary. Was my view he don’t lack effort going forwards and is one of the few players in Squad who actually looks put ball in box. Awful going towards his own goal absolute liability

Does he get a game when he goes away? Checked his record: Debut Sept '18 Played 17 Lost 7 Drawn 7 Won 3 Goals against 27 And not been picked since Sept '22. Played mainly as RB for them.

i think ozzy gets better year on year, that doesn't mean he has potential to be a great player but i think he can be a very good squad option. agree that he's not really a RB, he makes me so damned nervous whenever someone is running at him but i reckon he could do a good job in a back 3, CM or as a winger.

Would prefer him as a right winger as he can get a cross in.
Obviously injuries are not helping but going forward a decent RB & Ozzy RW would work I think. Take that defensive responsibilty away from him some what.

The third goal showed how the defence has been poorly coached. Kakay was left with no hope. He went with his man - if he hadn’t his man would have been unmarked in front of goal, but it left another man unmarked where Kakay should have been. Kakay couldn’t win. Dickie could have picked up Kakay’s man and/or Field should have gone with runner at back post. Just a mess.

From match thread: Their third: Dickie badly at fault for ball watching and not tracking his man. You couldn't get a more basic error. Agree with you though.

Responsible for first AND second goal. 1st goal: Dickie, Dunne, Kakay all on their CF. So no need for Kakay to be there ball watching. Their RB spots it and deep crosses from wide right to their player wide left completely unmarked giving him room to run into box and make assist. 2nd goal: Ball watching again. Makes a tackle on Lowe's man, allowing HIS man to run in behind to receive pass unmarked and score.

Yes, Dickie should have stuck a foot out. I'd say Kakay also responsible though.

His issue mainly seems to be concentration lapses, so he ball watches instead of tracking his man (which is disastrous from a defensive aspect). He doesn't lack pace.

I like Kakay but like every RB we've had for years, he just needs some decent coaching on the defensive positioning

Blimey, if people are suggesting that Kakay is good enough for the championship then something really has gone wrong.
He had a decent game at times. Still a weak link defensively.
Someone else mentioned being a winger. I initially thought that sounds daft but he does have a very good cross and isn't slow. Might be better there; I doubt it, but might be. Maybe he is our Gareth Bale and being wasted at full back.
