so whats everyone thinking of him so far? i think he's fit in surprisingly well and been impressive at times. will say though that he did have a dip in form over the past few games.
be interesting to see how he does next season as i think this season ended at the perfect time for his development.

Impressed with him. Needs to cut out over complicating things and playing himself into trouble but overall he doesn’t look out of place

I think he's a regular for us next season.

I think he's a regular for us next season. If he continues his form and have similar or improved stats for the full season, we may well have sorted the right back for a couple of years to come, or we can get a decent profit on him. In the best world, we get both. Delivers a good cross on occasion as well.

Probably better than Furlong, although I was pissed off because of his mistakes yesterday which almost cost us three goals.

Another reason to insist that MW has a defensive coach to help these players become better defenders or this is how as good as he will ever be. Think he has done well and has all the tools to get better and make the RB position his.

Kakay has done very well as part of 3 C/B system and W/B when considering he’s been thrown straight in.
Saw somewhere he started out as a Winger then converted to a Defender so looks quite comfortable going forwards and on the ball in tight areas.
His Loan spells away in Scotland look like time very well spent.

I suspect we may be looking for a left back with Manning most likely on his way!

great news this. we've all been surprised by how well he's slotted in since last season and imo he could go on to be a top championship level RB if he stays consistent.

Compares favourably with Furlong at a similar career stage. Needs to stay in the side.

The lad has grown on me and he looks like a player now. 4 years is a good commitment on both sides.

Excellent news. Been a really pleasant surprise and testament to the work the lads in the youth set up are doing. Long may it continue

whats everyone thinking of him now? personally i thought he ended last season well and started great but he looks to be a bit of a weak link now. there's been a few times when he's been bailed out by dickie among others and he leaves you wanting more in attack.
fair enough he scored yesterday but he hasn't impressed me much since he came back into the side.

Kakay looks positionally confused at times both going forward and when defending, but this will hopefully improve with experience. The other one must have pissed off the coaching/management team with his comments in that leaked interview, and we will probably try to offload him this summer.

They are both much better than Niko though. He is a liability defensively. Ball watches and doesn’t track his man.

I like,Kakay but he seems so frantic in everything he does. If he calmed down a bit he might yet be ok.

Needs a better understanding with Dickie, they desert each other at times.

I really can’t make my mind up. Was excited by him few seasons back then he seemed to go backwards
I think there is a player in him then next week I think he’s shite.
I get the comments on position but that’s only going to improve from pitch time so if we think he is the future might just have to invest the time and allow him the mistakes so he improves. I think the attitude and desire is there, now he needs show long term quality/ability
What I would say is I hear a lot of the sane things said about Kakay which we heard about Furlong (unfairly) and he’s turned into a cracking defender

Yeah, dunno what has happened to Kakay's development Al. I was really encouraged by the progress he was making right up until this season. Time to admit defeat though, need to sign a right back this window without any shadow of a doubt.

Kakay should still be considered as a work in progress, imo. At 24 years of age? Hmmm not so sure Shania...

Lyndon Dykes is still a work in progress at 26 Stan, so why not?
The issue with Osman is that he's been around the first team for 5 years or so now with 3 loan spells under his belt and over 50 first team appearances, yet this season he seems to be going backwards. This was the season he should have been staking his claim for the RB/RWB spot as his own after an encouraging end to last season.
My gut feel at this stage is he'll find his level a bit further down the football league. Probably a very decent League 1 player.

Lyndon Dykes is still a work in progress at 26 Stan, so why not? Different as Dykes came into the professional game late on in his career. Apples and oranges, surely?

Kakay has been with us since youth academy days. So at 24 years of age you should know by then if he's going to cut it or not. He's a man now. OK as back up. Can he still marginally improve with more work on the training ground? Sure, why not. But can we afford to keep waiting for that to happen? That's a very different question.

i wouldn't mind seeing kakay tried out in CDM instead of ball tbh. i don't really rate kakay but he does have his qualities and 2 seasons ago he was brilliant for the last 7 games of the season. he's had a couple of very solid games but gets caught out way too much whether he's RWB or in the back 3.
i think he could do a job in CDM as he's pacey and one thing he does do well is harry people on the ball plus he has a good slide tackle on him and isn't bad with the ball at his feet.

Also the other difference with Dykes is he's now proving himself as our best striker at the club. It's very clear where, when and how he's made improvements to his game. Kakay otoh has totally stalled for the last year at least.

Kakay has terrible positioning , I was taught at primary school stay goal side of attacker, not 5 yards in front
