Marti Cifuentes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mart%C3%AD_CifuentesHe has worked wonders with next to nothing to spend in the Norwegian top flight. Coaching background from Barcelona B, Ajax and Millwall. Only 38 years old and very good at organising a team. He has not signed a new contract with Sandefjord FK so far. You don't see them three in the same sentance often No. That is true. .

looking further afield is our best bet, an unknown gem from Europe Bruno Lage
2.16 ppm, the Adel renaissance, knows how to set up a four, Blighty experience..... someone will be in for him soon.
Wont be us though. Blind leading the blind.
Been thinking about our current management situation. I think the circus upstairs running the show have to move real soon on this one.
They wont do that either.

Dont think either of these players are good enough to take the club forward to where we need to go personally
Should be Pearson i think
Wrong decision and it could be League 1 football big big decision

I thought he was funny but he certainly didn't have the inside track so I would take that with a pinch of salt Gen.

No former players, please. To be honest, I would rather have Pearson, Cook or someone from abroad .But I can also envisage a scenario where the players will play out of skin for Warburton from now on..

Sounds like there’s a lot of emphasis behind the scenes on sports science, fitness levels etc. Basically, a player might not put a foot wrong in a match but find themselves out of the team for the next game if there’s any doubt about their level of recovery. This is obviously something that all clubs do to a degree but I wonder it’s an aspect of the game that he pays particular attention.
They are of course professional athletes and will be fit enough stamina wise to play two games a week but I suppose it’s all about the little knocks, muscle tightness etc that he’s worried about and whether starting a player who might have a tight hammy or calf might backfire with them developing a more serious injury and end up out for weeks.

I agree. Fans can be quick to hammer a manger over a team selection without always knowing the full story behind these decisions.

Modern managers do talk some pony about 'physicality' and fitness - and I'm not singling out MW. Truth is at our level they play no more games than they used to. (And before Westy jumps on me I'm not talking about ancient times, let's say from the 80s on) The game is far less physical than it was, in terms of getting kicked all over the place, and they are fitter than ever now with their diets and recovery programmes. Let's see what team he puts out midweek because there is an important factor in the game - momentum. Ball got us the points in an extraordinary way so I don't think that team is IT but you don't change a winning team, you go again. Do we want to hear he had to make changes because of fatigue if we do poorly? Two games a week?

Would be more open to agree with MW thoughts on rest and recovery if 37 yr old Geoff Cameron hadn’t played every game bar one.
Has MW done a Bielsa on somehow predicting what team Cardiff would play yesterday ?
Keep playing a winning team unless injuries prevent it..especially if there are lots of newcomers.

Harsh on Kakay, arguably our most consistent player so far this season.

Harsh on Kakay, arguably our most consistent player so far this season. Definitely. I'd put him and Ball (for Cameron) straight in but you don't change a winning side. Certainly not when we've struggled recently. They'll be back in soon.

Kane did fine. Never let the side down and scored a cracking goal. Can't drop him now or changing a winning team. Some have been arguing for more experience in our defence, which he offers too.
Yes, Kakay has been a revelation, but competition in every position is important and healthy, especially with games coming thick and fast.

Are we also saying Rob Dickie warms the bench ? No. Bring him in for Barbet

Are we also saying Rob Dickie warms the bench ? Difficult isn't it? We've just taken a two goal lead, scored when on top, and came back when it looked all over a draw maybe even lose in closing minutes - all things that have been missing - and then we're going to change it again? So we keep Barbet who has been a clown, drop a youngster for one stupid mistake, keep Cameron in even though Ball is way ahead, not to mention the Kane/Kakay thing and then lose. That would be criticised too.

Maybe Dickie not going straight back in will teach him you can't keep pulling people back in the box.
