Think we should give bonne a go 2nd half season. After all he scores, and ours don’t. He younger than Chad and grays not even ours. Dykes blows hot and Baltic and why should Ipswich benefit. For the record he's scored 11 in 26, but his goals have dried up of late. Since 2nd Nov he's played 8 (full games) and scored 0. |

Since 2nd Nov he's played 8 (full games) and scored 0. around the time talk of a potential return here started up. tbh though i think he's been a purple patch player for the majority of his pro career, i remember him scoring 6 or 7 goals in 8 or 9 games at charlton then fizzling out. sounds like he'd be perfect to rotate with dykes if thats the case lol. |

Feel sorry for the fella. Was not given a fair crack, even when dykes was on a run of 22 games with 1 assist, warbs continued to pick him over bonne.
Just feel that bonne would have developed into a much better striker had he been afforded the same opportunities and patience as was given to dykes.

Agree with you Hitman. He missed some big chances but all of our strikers have. Bonne scored a number of goals despite a lack of game time.

Thank god we are scoring from other areas of the pitch. I’d take the money for Bonne. Hasn’t worked for him here and it’s clear he wants to stay at the Tractor boys. Getting our money back would be a right result. |

Oh for a Gary Bannister or Simon Stainrod now.
But we are shopping in Poundland and given the budget our shopping has been OK.
With Chair unavailable, the likes of Austin, Grey (plus Stef) need to step it up with goals. A lot of pressure now rests on Willock to score worldies and he isn't going to do that every week.

If we could get the 12-goal-in-24-games Boone back from Ipswich, I'd have him back.
But I'm not convinced we'd get that.
If Warbs has no interest in keeping him, then by all means sell. I think he cost us around £2m. If we could recoup (or improve on) that, then take it and move on.

If we getting shot end of season,why not do the deal now and get some cash in. If they dont want to do deal till loan ends force their hand and recall him. Then if they want him cough up as others will.

Not so much a transfer rumour, but what's to be done about Mcauley Bonne?
He scored 11 in his first 16 appearances for his loan at Ipswich, but only 1 more in his next 30.
Have to say, too inconsistent for me and League 1 would seem to be his level. Guess we'll take a loss there and move him on.

1 in 30 is really bad, hardly going to come back to us all guns blazing.
Id let the new manager see him in pre season and go from that. But if it were me, I would be looking to offload. SHould still get what we paid for him (or close to).
