Such a strange player. My Ipswich mate at work was buzzing about him for 3 or 4 months and then cursing him for the rest of the season.
Much like Dykes, half the battle must be mental in my opinion. How does a player go from scoring every week to scoring 1 goal in 30 games?

The vast majority of his 12 goals for Ipswich were tap ins though, he doesn’t make the right runs just like Dykes.
One attribute he does have is he’s decent in the air imo

Badly timed runs could be corrected imo. Hence, Bonne should be given a chance under Beale.

Reading a lot about our current crop of coaches being "Developers". Bonne and Dykes are gonna test that to the absolute max I think. Developing those 2 might be an exercise akin to trying to polish a turd. 🤣

Very difficult not to have sympathy for the player and his partner but news of this broke in October last year Stan, it’s no coincidence it’s resurfaced during the current transfer window.

Death,grief and loss can affect people in very different ways . exactly, i've known people who've dealt with the deaths of loved ones with a shrug of their shoulders and who've just moved on pretty quickly. others have been absolute wrecks. people deal with it differently like you said and i don't think its fair to judge someone if they take it poorly |

Obviously that's an awful thing for Bonne and his Mrs to go through. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. But people have to go through terrible things, that's life.
I wouldn't like to see something like his wife's miscarriages being made some kind of scapegoat for the fact he's consistently underperformed since we signed him.
Suppose I'm maybe out of tune with society on this subject a bit. I've never been one to complain about mental health. Everyone gets depressed and most people are a bit mental one way or another. Just get on with it, don't you?
Bonne absolutely should not be making those kind of "come and get me" statements to the press though. We've not even got close to our money's worth from the investment the club made in him. He should have enough respect to come back, do a decent pre-season and keep his mouth shut until Beale has decided if he's got a role to play or not.
