We cannot let the next 5 or 6 games go and not have brought a striker in. Our forward line took us to 19th 2 seasons ago and only the loan signing of Charlie got us to safety.

I can only think that MB has probably had a really tough first month trying to gauge the ability of 30 odd potential first team players. Be interesting to see the posts about Archer if he comes, I’m a regular reader of the Villa forum since MB arrived and up to a couple of weeks ago they were dead keen for Gerrard to drop either Ings or Watkins so Archer could fire them to a European spot this season.
He played as a late second half sub in 2 games on their Aussie tour and their fans had real concerns about his hold up play, they now are happy to see him on loan.

Would genuinely love to hear Rscot opinion of Him now three seasons in Even better mate I'd love to hear from the coaches and managers that keep picking him. He must train unbelievably because I absolutely cannot see what the man gets picked off of the back of. I know we're not working with these players but I can honestly say, the vast majority on here know their onions when it comes to football and it seems pretty clear what the fans think as all the comments are identical. |

Fella just stands still in the penalty area. Got plenty of dirty looks when I slipped out a roar of “move, you lazy cunt” I immediately apologised to the families around me and my son. Watching that useless prick just makes me angry. |

Had a great shot destined for top corner in 1st half which keeper pulled off a good save. It's only fair to highlight that too. And thought he had a decent 1st half too tbf. Put himself about more than usual. I'm just hoping that Beale and his coaches are doing a better job in coaching him since they've arrived, to the extent that he is no longer beyond hope. |

thought he lead the line well today. he wasn't involved in every little facet nor did he really make a nuisance of himself to their defence but whenever he did get involved something ended up happening.
even without the goal he had a very good game, he pressed well, linked play and drew defenders to him. if he can play like this every game then i'd be very happy!
i'd love nothing more than for him to show us all up

Took his goal really well too. Another example of what he can do with the right service. Did well to lose his man then a very deft header as it was behind him.

Thought he had a good game yesterday,linked play up well and battled hard against a physical back line. Good to see him get off the mark already,and was unlucky with the shot from distance. More of the same please Lyndon.
