New deal, if no name wants him cost them more don’t it. He knows what he on etc and value with time left. So say we bump another 2-3 year deal , will increase value we get.
Think it about making it as painful as can if they want him as a payback and obviously bit more cash for us.

Let’s be realistic Corbray, I would be delighted if we managed to get £1m now and take a punt on a PSV B team winger and hope he can be converted to a goal scoring striker or 2 Asante types from non league teams. Hes 27 now and not going to improve, if he’s goes on a free in 18months just like Bonne will soon then just maybe Ferdinand and recruitment team will finally be moved on. |

Realistically, what's he worth though?
I'd be over the moon to get what we paid for him back to be honest. Having a longer deal doesn't mask the fact he's not very good!

No one is giving anyone a new deal.
An unreliable source was spinning a line from LD that he 'wanted to stay' = fishing for new terms already.
Agents use transfer windows to max out any possible advantage by feeding stories, same thing happens whenever there is a managerial vacancy.

Probably right Hal. That being said, if he's got 18 months left now is the time to make a call on him. Same goes for a few others in the squad.
I know January isn't the ideal time for wheeling and dealing, but I'd be tempted to shift a few on who's contracts are running down and see if we can rely on a few loans to take their place til the summer.
