If they do not think we need a striker when Dykes is in hospital with tubes on him then when will they. This is now beyond ridiculous. TBF we have said no striker on the pitch would be better than Donkey! I think Saturday proved that theory wrong.

According to a press release from David Martingdale of Livingston Dykes has got pneumonia, don’t think he’s returning to full fitness any time soon.

I think Saturday proved that theory wrong. not really imo. dykes is still hopeless and when we played well with him in the team he was the worst player on the pitch and absolutely useless. the issue now though is the entire team are shite now.

TBF we have said no striker on the pitch would be better than Donkey! I think Saturday proved that theory wrong. But you have to set up to play either false 9 or no recognised striker. We didn't do that on Saturday. When we did do it this season, we played our best football.

If i was Critchley, as it looks like he getting no more help in,I'd tell the Mrs not to unpack everything as doubt we be here in june Played a blinder getting a 3.5 year deal. His CF is tubed up in hospital and no one brought in as yet to replace him. Considering the 52 pages of absolute dog's abuse he's had here over the past 2.5 years, is it really any great loss? Reading through this thread is enough to convince anyone we'd be better off playing any of our B team or U18 strikers than Lyndon Dykes?

We should have sold him when we had the chance. Will never find mugs to part with money again. Another free transfer at the end of his contract

If we can get Lyndon on the pitch in a wheel chair then he might be more mobile and we can get someone to push him towards the front post

My point is not about Dykes but lack of urgency by our board to help the manager with a replacement. Been in hospital since last Wednesday or Thursday we get whacked at Hull and still our lot think it is ok.

Ideally we know who we want before we start. 1 injury shouldn't change what we need. We got Sanderson and Hendrick last year, just because we panicked.

We do not have another CF so not a panic more of a needs must. Would we not try and sign a keeper if in the same position? We have players who can fill in but none are any good.

In an odd way perhaps Dykes misfortune could play into our hands. They absolutely have to get someone in, in the next 48hrs
..........this aged well!

So its back to daydreaming over the free agents list.
It's absolutely incredible that the mistakes of one year ago have been replicated.

it’s appalling I thought we would have got someone. Suppose we don’t know what efforts were made but regardless outcome is the same.

B team promotions on the cards for the rest of the season surely... I would actually be happy with that. I would love to see how the young'un perform. If we aren't going up (though remember, a back to back wins changes a lot), then seeing the youth play is at least a little exciting; unless they are truly shit.

Did we actually miss him today? Not convinced we did. When Roberts is back him and Lowe would be a better option. Had Dykes played today not sure we'd have even got a point.

I am just hoping that thee club at least have a chat with Lewis Grabban....even at 35 that bloke would score more than Dykes

In positive news, club are reporting Lyndon had been discharged from hospital. Here's hoping he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Free agent list is like trying to eat gourmet food at a food bank. think your wrong wasnt long ago the keeper that Huddersfield just picked up Tomas Vaclik who is also a Czech Republic international was a free agent for ages if i were involved at QPR i would have snapped him up (Vaclik) and put Dieng on the list i would have also seen another Czech Rep international Petr Brabec a centre half was available off the free agent list and snapped him up and sold Dickie if anyone showed interest (which i very much doubt we ever will get interest from our 4th choiced centre back now)

Not if we got the 6 million quoted for DIeng 3 million Dykes 2 free transfers would have been easily covered with some change and extra wedge to possibly bring in another signing

Not if we got the 6 million quoted for DIeng 3 million Dykes yeah neither of those a real world valuations. well we were bid 3 million from Millwall for Dykes and Arsenal, Leeds and 1 other team were quoted interested in Dieng for 6 million which the club refused to let them speak to Dieng for even if we got 4 million for Dieng it would be covered
