I was a fan when we signed him and backed him to come good which unfortunately does not look likely to happen anytime soon. our other issue is Bonne is equally clueless which means Dykes has been picked almost by default. Bonne has had FAR less game time though 73! |

Get Kelman or Bonne in there. At least they are lively. Hate to say so but I really don't think either are the answer. Not by a long shot. There are two solutions to this problem. The obvious one is tactical meaning you wouldn't have to play Dykes Bonne or Kelman. Gone on about this fix elsewhere so wont bore y'all again. The other solution is the free agents list. Neither will happen. One requires a bit of football suss and the other an additional salary. |

There is an obvious solution which has the potential to solve a bunch of other issues at the same time. Bad news is that it wont happen. |

I wish we could just let Lyndon Dykes get some peace on here now. While he is not being picked, it will be plenty peaceful on here. We will need to sign two championship ability strikers in the summer. |

If people think 6 goals for the season so far is a poor return for a £2m player, spare a thought for Sheffield United who spent £23.5m on Rhian Brewster, with zero goals in return...
Maybe we should look at Charlton's on-fire striker who's tucking them away regularly these days.

Not having that. He was always OK at lower level where running around a lot can pay off but got found out. You need composure. Dykes is not a 9 in a million years. I think he has the makings of a decent holding mf / back line cover. It's not the lad's fault that he's obviously being played out of position and used when his confidence is shot away (that's Warburton for you, he has previous for this kind of thing). Going after the player is completely missing the point and fucking him up at the same time. |

He's a converted Rugby League player who started his football career as a CB. Trust us to follow the fools gold of a couple of goals across the border. I repeat - none of this is Dykes fault. He is what he is and we steamed in eyes wide shut. As of Warburton, it takes an awful long time for pennies to drop. |
