Theyve clearly seen something in him for a long contract like that Mäkihyppy on paras asia maailmassa Not since the days of the great Matti Nykänen when ski jumping was the most popular TV sport in Finland! Matti was also hard drinker and liked women (allegedly very well equipped) and was often in the headlines of the evening papers. Once in the middle of a ski jumping broadcast live on TV, when more than a quarter of Finns watching: Interviewer: Matti, what's on your mind after the first jump? Matti: Well, it's always pussy, but let's jump first! Some other Matti's famous quotes: - Every time I jump I get that bon voyage feeling, like I've been here before - Life is a man's best time - I'm prepared for every day, even for tomorrow! - Every chance is an opportunity Legendary.

Makes sense. Clearly 3rd choice. Get him signed on so we can actually sell for full value.

We might be lucky to get rid, his new contract was quite a good one.
I'm hugely disappointed with Niko. Having seen him play up in Scotland a few times, I was hoping he'd kick on last season.

Niko has returned following the end of his loan to LA Galaxy. Perhaps this may be why we haven't been rushing to sign a new LWB. To be honest, whilst he's been hugely disappointing since signing a new long term contract, I think he'll be good enough to cover when Wallace and McCallum aren't available for selection.

Mate….come on. My mum puts in more effort. I’m all for giving the young lads time but what I cannot accept is players, especially defensive players who just either a) switch off many times in games and b) don’t fight like hell to put the tackle in. He does both frequently. Get rid.

James, we have 2 very good left backs at the club already. The issue is both are injury prone. Who do you think we are likely to be able to attract in January that offers significantly more?
Fair enough, we need a total re-think at LB/LWB in the summer given Wallace is out of contract and McCallum's loan ends. But what we are talking about here is having enough cover to see us through the season.

But he is no typical LWB, is he? He is more a traditional fullback, I would say. However I would love to see him having flourished and added a bit more of attacking ability and flair to his play after having been loaned out these few months. I prefer him going forward than defending.

What we need in the summer will greatly depend on what division we are gonna be in next season. Who do we realistically expect to bring in this window who knows they are battling it out with Wallace and McCallum for the remainder of this season that could also hold their own in the Prem next season should we make it up? I don't see the board splashing out on a top quality LB/LWB this window. Better to look at investing what we have to spend in a quality RB/RWB and trusting that Wallace, Niko and McCallum will be adequate on the left side.
