They probably want to play for him because they gets away with anything.. Well, I doubt Dykes is that impressed, BOS wants away anyway, old pros like Cam and Albert must know we're shit at set pieces and it doesn't change, they'll all know that Dieng could have been playing before now and as pros they must wonder why we don't we don't throw everything at it two down going nowhere. United public front is a given but they are only human.

Maybe get his arse off that box and show some interest and instill some motivation into his team He can't. It's "The QPR Curse Of The Dodgy Knees!"

when you lose the likes of wells, hugill and eze, while replacing them with a striker from league 1, a striker from the dog and duck in scotland, along with a non entity that no other club wanted, what do you expect.
absolute pony recruitment of players in the summer for which we are left with fuck all to show from the eze money.

As I've said before Redkrap all over again with 1 exception he has not spent so much money. I remember standing watching us with HR in charge and subs would warm up forever and then take forever to get them on. Even at Wembley Clint had tell him what to do and this bloke is no different.

Dykes will prove his worth in the right team with the right manager. I’ve watched him play as a lone striker and he can do the job. I’ve watched him play for Scotland and during his 7 starts he was in contention for motm in around half of them. That’s a team that includes the like of Andy Robertson, Kieran Tierney, John McGinn, Scott Mctominey, Ryan Christie etc. You got him for less than £2 million.

What happened with Dykes at Livingston was he played in a fairly settled team/squad with a good amount of experience who knew how to get the best out of him. Livingston also played a 4-2-3-1, but our attacking midfield centre and especially our right-sided attacking midfielder were experienced pros who built up a good relationship with Dykes because they could see what he brought to the team. As soon as they got the ball they were looking to link up with Dykes, they weren’t thinking about trying to slalom past 3 defenders and curl one into the top corner.

Was it lost because the person refused to pass it on to a teammate and held onto it far too long? Was Dykes standing there available to pass to and link up with, yes he was.

The guy has had next to zero service in open play, he can't do it all himself, he's a target man and relies on service for chances.

I think Chair is a decent player, and has potential to be a very good player, but I think he needs someone experienced competing with him to improve him. Someone who will show him how to be more effective for the team. And please get him off the set pieces

But they've got a Manager that knows how to set up a team to play to the strengths of the players at his disposal.

I rate Dykes but we will never get the best out of him without width in the team and especially with the lack of creativity in midfield.

Take a look at his goals and set ups for Livingston, he’s playing as the lone Centre Forward in a 4-2-3-1 system, same as QPR. But can you see why he was successful at Livingston and the difference to what is happening at QPR

Most of his supply comes down the right side via a good, unselfish, experienced attacking midfielder called Steven Lawless, the number 11, it’s also him that provides the cross for Dykes headed goal against Aberdeen from the left side midfield. The other person that Dykes interacts with in the video is Scott Pittman, the number 8, the attacking midfield centre, scored today against Dundee Utd. Again another good experienced, unselfish pro. These guys are good players, not exceptional, but the had the brains/experience and were unselfish enough to play as a team. Regards to width, again with a 4-2-3-1, you’re attacking midfielders are usually within the width of the opposition penalty box, your full backs provide the real width on most occasions. Your CF is in and around the penalty box, unless counter attacking. Again it’s all link up play in and around the 18 yard box with Dykes as the focal point and hopefully ending in a shot from close range from Dykes or one of the other attacking midfielders
