I have to nail my colours to the post and say I think he is a good player but reading social media he is getting pelters saying how average he is
He does for me what winger should do, get on the ball drive forward and deliver ball. Like rest of the team he needs improve final ball but I think he’s worth his place in the team but seems majority view is against that
Renew contract or release??

Would rather take Smyth and give him the shirt so release for me. Thought he had a good first half of the season but not been to that level since. Where is the player that scored the winner versus Villa?

Anyone giving him stuck is nuts. Excellent player. Hard working. And ought be properly used.

That would make me nuts then as I do not see an excellent player. I see someone who has patches of game where he is very good and other periods where he is bang average. Does not affect games often enough for me and based on that and his likely high wage I would release.

Would rather take Smyth and give him the shirt Smyth isn't really a winger though, is he?

Played out wide for us for the majority of the games that he has featured. Based on the assumption that is his position then he would start for me.

Not as an out and out winger though 73, more as a striker. At least that's my memory of him in the few games he played for us. Yes, a wide forward perhaps, who cuts in and scores goals, but not a conventional winger who's main role is to run / hug the touchline and provide crosses.

Stan all about opinions and mine is Pawel should be moved as should Bidwell, Lynch to name 2 more. If not Smyth then BOS on the right of a 3 with Smyth and even big lump Matty Smith.

BOS on the right of a 3 with Smyth and even big lump Matty Smith. Agree with you there 73 - assuming we lose Wells at the end of the season. Get Chair back too.

Wages are the issue Stan, We need to get pace into the team to attack and defend better. We are seriously lacking in the creativity department and I think in time young Eze will develop into a player but right now he is just a talented boy in his first full season at this level. He is not the next Adel from 10/11 season nor is he shit and the reason we have had a bad few months. The mis management of the club is the reason where we are and will be for at least another 10 years.

Woz (not Woz) And change our tune 'Papa's got a brand new pigbag' to 'Papa was a rolling stone' that has now gathered way too much moss.

I rate Pawel.
Very much doubt he'll be here next season though. From what I've heard he is on a wage that is way above most of the squad. Unless he wants to take a massive pay cut, we won't be extending his contract.

I thought he came in under our period of restraint

I thought he came in under our period of restraint He came on loan with an option to purchase mate. Do you remember all of that crap in the papers about Chelsea being interested? Agents playing games to get him a decent deal I think. I believe he is one of the (if not the) top earners at the club.

Keep if at all possible. Excellent player at this level, just needs to be properly managed - i.e. not played as a RB like Olly did.

I agree he will cost too much though and he is a bit inconsistent for me although good on his day and works hard defending when asked.

He was on a 1 year loan with an option to extend. The Chelsea rumour started to circulate and we signed him on a permanent deal. Genuinely don't believe it will be possible to keep him from what I've heard.

Cheers Tarbs, I had forgotten about that option. It all makes sense now. I just remembered he had been with us a while before those rumours. To be fair we would probably have taken the option up anyway but no doubt that was forcing our hand as you say.

Paw won't be here come summer. He threw a strop when the final subs came on, kicked the water bottles, and stormed down the tunnel. Good for him. Should've kicked Usetace....

I don`t blame him, we have ruined his confidence and ability as an out and out winger.

He seems to be a really likeable guy, has a good engine, and gives his all everytime he plays. Has not been used properly by several managers now, so all in all a great shame. Hope he gets a break somewhere else. Remember when we bought him he was in the Poland squad, and should now be at the peak of his career. Instead he's gone backwards through no fault of his own, IMO. Not a first at QPR.

feel really sorry for the fella. him and sylla were great together when they first came. the following managers completly destroyed him.
hope he goes on to find a good club and do well for himself.
he does not deserve to suffer anymore at this rotten club.

Can understand Eustace bringing on 2 strikers on 75 mins at 0-1 down but in hindsight a bad move - Wells, like several others, have gone right off the boil lately. eg Freeman who didn't even get on and Luongo who's been shit most of the season.

Hard to say it was a bad move as Wells had so many chances. Should have taken them better.

Wells has played in the last 6 to 10 games like a loan player who knows he will not be back next season.
