Was not a huge fan 2nd time around but did watch him last night and to be fair he made a lot of sense with regards to the Bury and Bolton situation and did say our owners did want to keep on investing in the club in order for us to get back up but were unable to due to the 40 odd million fine that we were given.

So glad he's no longer our manager. Not saying first time round wasn't fantastic, it was. But his ego has got the better of him since, flattered by media sycophants, and he's become a clown. It used to make me cringe every time he opened his gob to spout some witticism. And that was following the supremely limited JFH and preceding the dour has-been McClaren. Thank God we've got a proper manager now.

Very well deserved. Been a great servant, regardless what happened last time he was here.

Gave us some fantastic memories in his first stint. Mad as a hatter and no doubt he’d be the first to admit it but fully deserves the recognition.

He got a great reception Brian.
We were laughing though as he spent ten minutes answering the first question. We were visualising the second half starting and them playing around him as he carried on rambling!

I've never been one to fully embrace Holloway. I thought he was an average player, thought that we got promoted despite having him as manager and the less said about his last period as manager the better. I also cringe more often than I laugh with some of his Ollyisms. I acknowledge that others will have a very different opinion of him and will passionately think I'm wrong. However, there is no doubt that as a player he gave 100% and he loves this club and our fans unconditionally. He deserves to be recognoised for the service he gave this club in all capacities and he is a great ambassador for us. It was a pleasure to stand in the stand last night - rather than sink below to get my customary half time cup of tea - to acknowledge his love and commitment to this club and to join in the standing ovation he rightfully deserved. Hold on a minute, I've got to take issue with your highlighted statement, that just doesn't match my experience of following Rangers home and away during his first tenure of manager. Without Ollie at the helm we could have gone under. He brought the fans and players together like never before, and this was during a time when we were collecting for players wages in buckets... and we came so close to promotion in 2003 and then secured it in style at Hillsborough in 2004. I loved following us at that time and Ollie was absolutely key to us getting promoted. His second time round is a totally different story, but that doesn't change what happened first time around.

In my defence i did say that I appreciate that others will have a very different opinion and passionately think I am wrong. You are entitled to disagree with me and think I am wrong! However, I still believe that although the run in to the Play-off final was fantastic we did have some horrendous performances that season and not just Vauxhall Motors either. As for 03/04 we only won 6 of our last 16 games and stumbled into 2nd place. He seemed clueless about what to do towards the end of the season. I also found his 'this is our cave' stuff quite cringe worthy. As I said, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and not all memories of that era will be the same. you share exact same view as Wycombe
