Think their argument is they’re under transfer embargo so if they sell players they can’t replace them so they are screwed again

Boro case is poor, Wycombe sound IMO, but the real failure was efl not taking action sooner and calling Derby's bluff. Should have had the sanction last year.

Problem really is that action isn’t taken quickly and decisively enough. That they ‘cheated’ was known so demote them before the new season starts. Everyone knows where they stand then.

There will be plenty of takers for Derby. Was a well run club before Mel Morris showed up, and has a decent fan base.
Doesn't get them out of a pickle though. Without continued investment from the new owners they'll go under. And how do you artificially keep an insolvent club afloat without breaking FFP regulations?

We might have to watch games with our knees stuck in the neck of the person in front but the more I hear about Derby the more grateful I am that we have our owners. Not perfect but not Mel Morris.

Seems there's another consortium interested in Derby - including the stadium.
The first bid was £28m (excluding the stadium), the new bid must be for at least £108m, as Mel Morris sold the stadium for £80m to, er, Mel Morris (you know, when they cheated the f*ck out of their accounts...).
Surely it won't be valued at any less than that...

In all seriousness, I`m not sure I care that much about Derby County and their supporters. They don`t seem to admit any wrongdoings at all.

Just out of interest: Where do their case stand now? Personally, I can`t believe how they got an extra month to get new owners in. It looks silly because Derby think they can do as they please and still get away with.. I really hate that club.

So accept a dodgy bid and start out on minus points or reject bids and go bust? What a mess.

So why no forward in Jan ? My honest “guess” is it’s possible the club could be very close to the £18m ceiling this season. The loss of £16.4m shown in the link below for 2019/20 is disturbing despite the club only spending £55k on Liam Kelly and receiving fees for Freeman,Luongo and Furlong. This season the club made no sales but purchased Field ,Johansen and Dozzell, add to that possible expensive loans in Gray and Hendrick. gameofthepeople.com/2021/05/25/qpr-looking-more-optimistic-despite-loss/
