Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are the English clubs to have agreed to join the new Β£6bn league, with six others, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Milan also reported to be on board.
The Premier League have extraordinarily threatened the big 6 advising that they will have to quit the Premier League if they want to join the European Super League.
Good. Fuck them out of the game. I'd looove the PL top six to fuck off out of English football. Go play with European clubs. Then we could reconfigure the other 86 football clubs in a competitive and affordable league. That would be wonderful.

The prem league have just pissed their pants as their product just lost its sparkle. Sky will do same as they probably spunked their budget already on rights for a now 2nd rate product and will be all over the new wank fest.

How can that work? Will get boring with no promotion or relegation - unless, presumably, you can afford it and be invited. Hopefully a new Sky channel to cover it so we could blank that too. International call ups would be interesting. Imagine the ticket prices too.

There is an easy way to kill this idea. UEFA and FIFA just need to come out and say that any players who take part in this competition will be unable to take part in any FIFA or UEFA competitions during the same season. That will put off any current internationals from signing for the 12 clubs involved and all of a sudden it all looks less appealing.

So if they boot English sides out prem thatβs prems chance to reduce league to 18 which they have wanted to do for years but guessing means that could mean one season more then three go up if your losing 6. Unless there is no relegation one season
If clubs are booted out domestic leagues how long will it last as a closed shop league will get boring for those clubs/fans after few seasons and if they did ask come back where do they come back into

Relegate all six from the Premier League. Make them play in the National League until their Super League is up and running.

Ban their players from representating their (nominal) countries.

Football is a different world to say 20 yrs ago. I think all the huge clubs should fuck off and spend and make as much as they want playing games in Dubai and far east every other week. Then the rest can reevaluate their systems and cut cloth according. More teams will fold but that life now days. Never get game back fully but a sensible system can prevail.

Would hate if they leave. Wouldn't want to watch Brighton-Burnley etc. week in week out. Would kill the game.

Same six, excepting Leicester, are the top six every year. Excepting Leicester, again, only four clubs have won the PL in the last thirty years..... One of those once. Tottenham? 1961. Lol. Euro League my ass. They- and TV money- have ruined the game. They buy players from around the world, largely mercenaries, so preventing British players from playing at the highest level, and buy up 'promising' British players, pay them millions, but don't play them. I look at, say, Arsenal's team, and it has nothing to do with Arsenal. The elite of the world......And Arsenal haven't won the league for sixteen years.

Doubt that when we talk the wages that likely be on offer with how much money floating about in this new league. Most players prolly be on Β£150-200k a week minimum

Same teams win championships in every top league in Europe and football is more popular than ever. Bayer Munchen has won eight consecutive championships and stadiums are full everywhere. Neutral fans want to watch stars and teams they know. Otherwise they wouldn't watch football on TV. For smaller clubs the highlight is to play against those big clubs and win every now and then. Those games will be remembered forever. If there was no big clubs in England football wouldn't be as popular as it is now. And it wouldn't be as entertaining as it is now.

Tottenham: Haven't won the title in 60 years. Haven't won the FA Cup in 30 years. Haven't won anything in 13 years. Champions indeed. Pissed money up against the wall year upon year, and put a Spaceship in a War Zone and call it a stadium. Lol. Get shot of The Six Leeches. Let the Chinese watch them play each other every week.
