Again, I know he's been sacked, I put a thread up the minute news broke 😂 I'm talking the claims in that tweet that he refused to have the players train Oh right 🤣 my apologies. It's not beyond the realms of possibility though, they've sacked their manager just before they play in the League Cup final, very odd time to decide he's not doing well enough to keep him on.

Their own fans will be key. Meet your mates at the pub or seeing your kids excited before going to a game, ‘hating’ certain rivals and enjoying a piss-take, travelling to away games (even in my car with Westy) even fans’ forums like this, it’s all part of the game. A culture that has survived for years. I can’t see hoardes of Arse taking over the San Siro.

The new fans. Watching on Tav and buying merchandise.

United, Liverpool and Arsenal all American owned and all three are viewed by those owners as a franchise and do not give two fucks about the history of those clubs. Shankly, Munich, Arsenal invicibles can all be forgotten for the right price. Super League with two teams in 7th and 9th in the PL says everything about the thing. Let them fuck off to wherever they want and leave football to the fans of football clubs.

And fair play to Leicester for telling them.to piss off. Their owner built them up and won the title and thankfully the family have not been swayed by the dough unlike the 6 piles of shite.

Everyone can moan bitch etc but will happen. That's the point. I think many will be happy if it does happen so we can be shot of them and our domestic leagues can return to being a more level playing field.

This be just a midweek comp to replace ze champs league. And if anything it widen the gap financially.

I guess facts are most of the fanbase for the clubs leaving aren’t based in countries where the club is located.

Who's got the fasted growing economy in the last 20 years, a burgeoning middle class with cash to spend and a HUGE population? China. I think that's the market. So TV companies and American/Russian/Arabic club owners couldn't give a f*ck about our national game. They just see the massive Far-Eastern audiences and the potential for millions, if not billions, of $$$$$$$$$. No surprise there at all though. Personally, if the so-called 'Super League' happens, I think clubs should be expelled from the Premier League and all domestic football. Clubs have been built up over 150 years from working men's clubs from local communities. Wealthy oligarchs and money-men want to cash in on that hard-won heritage for their own personal gain. I only hope our football authorities have the guts and integrity to stand up to them. And frankly, who on earth wants to see the same few teams play each other ad nauseum in a token 'competition' with no jeopardy? The sooner English football adopts the German model of ownership, the better as far as I'm concerned.

It's going down well in Italian media too...
La Repubblica “It eliminates the idea that merit is a prerequisite to participation,” [and, highlighting the key role of American Investment Bankers JP Morgan] - “...some of the world’s most powerful law firms are creating the new Super League. They won’t be put off by popular dissent”.
La Gazzetta dello Sport “Juventus, Inter and Milan: the bonfire of greed! This paper has always been opposed to any project that favours the interests of the few by betraying individual merits and undermining the national tournaments which make up the social and cultural roots of football.”
Il Fatto Quotidiano "The Super League is the antithesis of football: they want to kill the passion for the game in the name of profit… and to turn fans into mere consumers”.

You can bet your bottom dollar that lawyers are checking into if its legal to take any action and how much they will then get sued for.

From Spain:
El Pais (daily paper) 'The worst announcement in football history' "Total war in European football - the Super League is born."
El Mundo Big European clubs think the formula of the Champions League "exhausted itself" and the income margins narrowed. This is why the entities... believe they have found a new chicken laying gold eggs. And they plan to exploit it without any intermediaries other than themselves,"
Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon Called the Super League "perhaps the worst announcement in football history."
Spanish football journalist Juan Castro "There is much surprise in Spain, as well as fury, being directed at Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez. For Perez it is third time lucky. The plan he has championed for years finally looks set to be getting off the ground… before similar plots had fallen flat following cold feet from executives"

Expel the Six Leeches from everything except their Super League. Then airbrush them from history, as with Olympic cheats, but removing their past titles. Step forward Division One Champions, 1975- 76 and FA Cup Winners 1982, Queens Park Rangers.

Rangers and Celtic bet are sucking big cock begging to be included. Celtic have won more European Cups than Spurs, Arsenal and City combined so you could argue they have a better European pedigree than all three.

Where are Ajax if this is a European Super League? It is nothing more than the Emirates cup played all year around.

That's why they had to do it now, much harder PR wise had he lifted the trophy. Tried to bury it in the ESL furore, but that's backfired. Spurs fans are more pissed off with their board than Jose
