Bayer Munchen has won eight consecutive championships and stadiums are full everywhere. How boring is that for fans of the OTHER teams, and even for the neutrals? It destroys competition. It's a monopoly. The very antithesis of fair and 'sporting'. The money greed has destroyed any semblance of fair play, any semblance of a level playing field, and any semblance of sportsmanship both literally AND figuratively. What you end up with is purely a business for the elite and their bean counters, and no longer an actual SPORT. But if that's what you really want and it makes you happy, then fine! :-) In the end the market always decides and is always the way it is.

Bundesliga sides are opposed to the plans because the German model means commercial investors cannot have more than a 49% stake in clubs, so fans hold a majority of their own voting rights. Which is obviously a far superior model.
No PSG. Which is a major surprise.

Just heard Gary Nevilles views. Amen to that really like him What makes me laugh about that is Sky will be the first wankers to bid for TV coverage of this new super league if the worst should happen.

Trouble is the six cunts will try to get advantage from the wankers at the FA and the PL and UEFA in return for having to back down. No. Make them pay. Punitive punishments.

they've released a statement lol. it sounds so upbeat and positive for them, theres gunna be 15 permanent clubs in the mix which will be joined by 5 new clubs every season based on their previous seasons accomplishments.
they plan on having super euro games in the midweek whilst still competing in their domestic leagues.
i wonder who the 3 other permanent members are? maybe psg, bayern and ajax? i know psg and bayern have rejected it already but you'd still think the original 12 want them there.
i bet the domestic leagues roll over and let them form their new special league though

Doesn't seem to bother neutrals and supporters of other clubs like I said. Some (most) neutrals just want to see top quality football, not even shit. I for example only watch Premier League when ManU, Citeh, Spurs or Liverpool are playing. Occasionally Leeds nowadays as they play entertaining football. It would kill the interest of Premier League if big teams leave. Like Bielsa said: one of the reasons football is the most popular sport in the world is because the weak can beat the powerful.

Will be an interesting test of player(agent) power - if it exists. Dion Dublin said, in effect, it’s not just about money but players want titles, trophies and international recognition. If they end up playing for meaningless money and tv driven trophies will they revolt?

Apparently it’s a mid-week league retaining their domestic programme? I thought the poor lambs get tired playing twice a week, never mind factoring in the travel🤔

the supporters trusts of the big 6 have all released statements condemning their respective clubs decision to form the ESL. none of the ST's were consulted and are all vehemently against the ESL.
i've seen the majority of the fans of these clubs absolutely up in arms over it lol. some are calling for points deductions whilst others are claiming they won't support their teams if the ESL goes ahead.
all in all its absolutely embarrassing and tragic at the same time. these so called big 12 truly believe they have such a control over football that they can create a monopoly to lord over their so called elite league. the fact that they have the audacity to do this just goes to show how out of touch their owners actually are with football, the statements released by the big 12 are cringey as fuck and completely disregards 100 years+ of tradition, history and competition.
zero tolerance or a willingness to bend is needed from europe's FA's and governments. i seriously hope that they do hold firm and don't compromise on any ESL proposal, no negotiations are needed to accomidate the big 12's granduar. tell them to do one, lay out the consequences and leave them to it.
sadly i doubt that will be the case, the big 12 will likely get their own way to some degree.

ESL will happen without consequence. EPL would be completely devalued as a commodity and we know how useless and corrupt the game's governing bodies are.
