archer masterson hammarshit owens amos shodipo thomas dykes would keep dozzell as i can still see a player in there. uncs for vibes, lots of the younger players look up to him and he's good for getting the crowd going plus he's not actually terrible imo. i've always been a big fan of amos and if he was still in good form i'd say he's worth keeping despite the injuries but he's really dropped off now so its probably for the best to let him go. What sort of player is Dozzell? Doesn't score or assist. Doesn't do the dirty work very well either. |

Was thinking the exact same thing has a decent pass in him once in a while but doesnt tackle despite getting booked a lot definatley doesnt score goals or create anything i wouldnt put him in the pile of "oh my god why we picking him again" like Dykes or Tyler Roberts or Niko H i would put him in the pile underneath them i call it "i havent noticed if hes playing" pile i say try and sell him or do a swap with Forest Green for a bag of bibs we could use in training |

Dozzell is being used wrong imo. He is better when allowed to go forward. I could be wrong, but I often notice that he seems afraid of doing it. He wants to be cover by Field ie. etc.etc.
So if moved further forward,the problem is whose place should he take? We need a player who can shoot and make short and long range passes. Not that I think we will keep him much longer at the club, but it`s a bit sad that he has lost so much confidence becuse after all he is one of our own players.
What do others think about his situation?

He’s playing in a league too high Shania. Div 1 player. Clearly has his level as he’s never risen above what he was when he came here.

Personally think he is being played in the wrong postion. Would be more effective in a free role behind 2 strikers, which we never play.

Interesting the comments Ainsworth made on Dozzell, I think there’s a good creative player in there but needs a strong manager to grab hold of him and be demanding so much more from him.
