Interesting the comments Ainsworth made on Dozzell, I think there’s a good creative player in there but needs a strong manager to grab hold of him and be demanding so much more from him. agree just need find the right position where he can be effective to get on ball and give it. He’s not going anywhere so might as well trying getting behind him.

There is a player in there somewhere, hope they manage to drag it out of him.

Was one of our best players Saturday I thought along with the two full backs and Field.
I think he probably has to overcome the fact he is often the scapegoat for poor team performances as well.

Credit where it is due. Dozzell ran himself into the ground for the cause on Saturday.

Waste of a shirt to key member of side would be quite an achievement for Ainsworth. I agree, it did look like someone had had a word.

Kakay is overall a very improved player this season. I'm so pleased for him! Ditto Dozzell. Again, think you have to give GA credit for this as the last three managers all failed to improve these players. Yes it's early days of course but the signs are encouraging as we have seen it over a few games now. Granted the results haven't always been good but the performances have. Who would you rather have had in goal today? Begovic for me, no question. Begovic, Cook, Colback, Fox, Smyth - All looking like good signings on a shoestring budget. Even JCS did well today People will hate to do it but for me Ainsworth has to get some credit for this. Will we get some poor results/performance this season? Yes of course we will as it's clearly work in progress. But look at the away fans today. They get it what he's trying to do and they're clearly buying into it.

Gotta say Dozzell was very good yesterday and what a goal that was by the way. Hope he keeps it up and we finally get the player we thought we'd signed from Ipswich.

And like I have said before, I think Richard Dobson also plays a part in the player development and coaching. Paul Hall also..

He looked a little battered and a thick lip yesterday.

He looked a little battered and a thick lip yesterday. Fair play to him, shows he got stuck in. Think QPR fans down the years all agree we value working for the shirt and giving it 110 every single game more than anything else, good player or bad. He did that Saturday for sure.

whats happened to him? why does he suddenly look quite decent? Must be all the skills he learned from our former brilliant head coach, who sadly moved north

whats happened to him? why does he suddenly look quite decent? Same question can be asked of Kakay. The Ainsworth effect? Some will disagree. Others won't.

Another factor: Better from the moment Colback came.

Others won't. might well be that tbh. to be fair to gaz he had a knack for getting the most out of players and playing them to their strengths at wycombe. take jacobson for example, bang average league 2 player but was exceptional at set pieces and fit into their system well.

He was completely anonymous last game. Forgot he was on the pitch. With Colback out... is he back to being used as a CDM? If so it seems to negate his improvement in form in front of two behind him... I would put either SDM or Dixon-Bonner on instead of Willock to bolster our midfield He did however have one quality through ball against Swansea to Sinclair who ballooned it over bar...

I thought that. Played deeper and not as well. But in a shift though. And Armstrong shot over the bar was awful.

Ginge, think he's been doing well. Since the Colback ban he's had to drop deeper so had to do more of the essential defensive play that often goes unnoticed. This is easily his best season in a QPR shirt.

Take your point about Colback and having to drop deeper, but he spent most of the game watching the ball.

Like I have said a billion times on here, he is no CDM, he should be used in a more attacking role.

With Coleback and Field potentially out a lot resting on him next game - midfield cd be soft as fuck. Better signs on his work rate/ willingness to tackle but still a work in progress
