Odd rumour that one Westy. He's on the fringes of a very poor Sheffield Wednesday side. Maybe Warburton sees something in him that can be developed........that is if there is any truth to the rumour.

Does anyone agree we need another striker? If we keep Austin and he can only play 65 or 25 mins there's no guarantee he'll last a season without at least some downtime. Could be that Dykes' form continues - just as easily could be he becomes Dykes Mk. 1 again. That only leaves Bonne, hardly encouraging. Kelman will probably be out somewhere, Oteh moved on and Shodipo maybe too - and he's not a striker anyway.

You do have the u23 striker who came off the bench recently, Duke McKenzie is it? Maybe MW thinks he has enough coming through the youth ranks?

If we’re going play wing backs he would fit the Bill I liked him

I liked him too but wasn’t the criticism aimed at manager at the time because he wasn’t a wing back and should just be played as a winger?

Let's not piss about, we're short one quality WB and that aint Pav. Ollie playing WBs always put the fear of god into me anyway. You want an old fashioned winger, you maybe think about him. Maybe.

He was a funny character, Pawel. That gait of his, and always looking knackered, but with pace to burn and excellent stamina. He had all the physical attributes needed for a WB, IMO. He probably just needed some some quality coaching, and time to adapt.

I thought he was decent WB. Lets be honest Holloway’s way of doing things would make de bruyne look like he’s toeing a caravan
Come to think of it he would have had de bruyne on the bench and Palmer pulling the strings in the middle 🤣

I thought Pav was decent WB. Lets be honest Holloway’s way of doing things would make de bruyne look like he’s toeing a caravan His best performances for us were definitely as a winger, and even chipped in with goals when played there. Ollie absolutely ruined him (and his international career too). Bringing him back as a WB would be like triggering PTSD for him.

Jay Emmanuel Thomas aka JET We’ve got him fit and working hard here at Livingston. You’d get him for nothing and his wages would be minimal. Obviously his mobility lets him down, but he wouldn’t be a bad option as cover within the squad and he’d be good at helping Dykes and the other strikers in training, he does have nice feet. He’d be a cheap option and he’s fit and available

I wouldn’t say shit, he’s slow and his mobility isn’t good. But you get the ball to his feet and play off him he can be useful. Obviously I’m not saying that he’s gonna compete for a starting place in the first 11, if everyone is fit and available. But he could do a job providing cover, as a sub with 5-10 minutes to go in a game. And he’d be free with minimal wages.
