We’ve got to live with the fact that Dykes is a fixture in our team. We’ve replaced Bonne with Lowe and that will probably be it.

Good move IMO but only if we get another striker in somehow. Get Alfie Lloyd back. He played for Yeovil at 17 so if we’ve ‘developed’ him since he must be worth a look. |

Not really sure I get this fitness issue. I swam an Olympic qualifying time at 16 and was at peak fitness by 18. I got physically stronger but have never had more stamina. |

Seen enough Armstrong to make me think he’s not got it. That’s fucking abysmal young or old. Has physical attributes - strength and pace, but no composure or grace under pressure. You get the sense he's trying too hard and needs to relax a bit. Seemed to panic when he got that clear cut chance today. |

Seemed to panic when he got that clear cut chance today. might as well go down gym and get a weightlifter if it’s strength and physique that he brings too table. He shows next to no footballing ability so far. Said it before Oteh with muscle. |

Young, showed a bit of promise and old oily eel gave him minutes which was music to the boards ears as they never needed to look to get a forward in.

Looked to me like he got caught in two minds, so it ended up being neither a cross or a shot. I think he'd have shot or taken on the keeper but it seemed Ilias' presence distracted him, then he panicked. I agree he lacks a clinical striker's instinct though, whether that can be coached into him remains to be seen. Think he'd have been better off going on loan for the season. |

There’s nothing to stop the club sending Armstrong to a non league club on loan for the rest of this season.
I don’t ever remember seeing Dykes in over a hundred apps for the club outpacing a defender to a hoofed ball and make a chance for himself as Armstrong did today.
Didn’t see the same bad reaction from fans today when Lowe took a heavy touch when in on goal from Johansen pass.

Washington who'd run all day but also lacked instinct and composure. Lowe is fine but as I said when he came he isn't a 9, and Dykes is a non goal scoring 9. So - here we are over a year later still without one. FFS. |

My fear is in that position a natural goal scorer of any age is not caught in two minds, he feeds on goals and shoots. Might not go in but he tries to score. Yesterday he never fancied it and took the option of passing it and screwed it up. He gets that right and we win the margins are that fine. |

I know that I maybe will be shot down like a Chinese weather baloon now, but can we really judge him on yesterday`s short cameo in such an important match? He reminds a bit about BOS. That`s a start, but make no mistake about the fact that he needs polishing and game time...Perhaps not at this level and this season.
