Dont tend to disagree with you much Alan but hearing you big up the likes of Chris Martin for last season could be why the owners are so inept. Yes, He scored 4 goals but he was just fucking shit in nearly every game and that’s why he’s now in league one. Not bigging him up Sparks, it’s a travesty that we needed/need to entertain the likes of a has-been to get us a goal or two. I’m really disappointed that Armstrong isn’t looking like the real deal but he and Dykes are never going to score the goals we need and relegation will be a disaster. It’s not just because of whoever is up front that we don’t look like scoring, the likes of Dozzell , Field and Colback have all been phoning it in this season. If I were manager I would tell all 3 to make sure their agents find new clubs in January as none of them look like they really want to be here and are just going through the motions of what’s expected of a player in MF.

Apart from Eze, Barton at Burnley and Clint a year at Rangers, no player we’ve had in the last twelve years has done well when they leave. Maybe Mass at Ipswich? Freeman didn’t. Stephane MBia? Europa League Champion, two years running.

Europa League Champion, two years running. I'll give you it. Some 42 games for Sevilla, then China, however. He ain't David Seaman or Clive Allen.

Don't care who leaves. I'd miss any of them as much as i'd miss a mucus lodged jolly green giant sweetcorn Kernal fused in one of my stools.
When i think of how i felt when wegerle, Peacock, Sinton and langley left... couldn't give a flying Yaks hairy cvnt who leaves.

Fantastic goal.
Not only the power and the run but also the control and then he created a fantastic delicate touch to knock it onto his right hand side and of course a good finish.
Would be lovely to see more of this.

Was very decent and a handful first half but anonymous second half but in fairness to him he put a big shift in first half so might have in Gareth’s words emptied the tank.

This has always been an issue with him - baffling that a player that young and mid season should be done at half time. What is going on with the fitness regime? But yes a very positive first half and hopefully the strikers might take some confidence from those goals.

Never seen him cross a ball tbh. True but he’s not CF. At least wide he can use his pace and not have to get involved in hold up play.

Never seen him cross a ball tbh. he crossed the ball for Paals goal at Cardiff. So far he’s played down centre so not really had need or been positions to put it in. What he done yesterday I could see him doing week in week out as a winger against opposition FBs

Hard to say what his strongest position is but I think he’s definitely stronger out wide and running at defenders.

He’s definitely better out wide. Cardiff away, Ipswich at home, Bournemouth and there was another game at home this season where he bust down the left into the box up the loft end. When he gets in his stride he’s frightening but doesn’t seem to have the same impact through the middle. I’d like to see him starting left of another centre forward and chair a bit more central. Willock to the right of chair.

He took his goal well and looked so much more mature in his play today. Give him a contract extension, please.

Loved seeing the anticipation and hunger to get there before the defender. Plus those the type of goals we usually concede so lovely be on the positive end of one today.
